I stayed for 1 night. The accommodation is near Kappa Bridge. The room is a futon. There is a toilet inside. It is spacious and has a good heater. In the hotel, there is a clean and fully equipped onsen. The restaurant is a buffet with very delicious food. And for dinner, there is a special menu of the chef at the grill bar. I am very impressed. If I have a chance, I will choose to stay here. And I also got a discount card for shopping at Gozenjaku shop.

I really loved my time at Park Lodge Kamikochi, it was truly magical and I can’t believe our luck in finding this place. Location is great, very near to the bus terminal and starting point for many treks. The main areas and the rooms were simple, well-designed and very comfortable. Although note that there is no air conditioning in the room as the weather is already cool. The food was the best part, a delicious variety of offerings, including a live grill! My friends and I were amazed and felt like we got great value and experience out of this stay. The staff were mostly friendly, but we were once suspected of trespassing the premises. However, it was one-off and not a problem as they might experience non-guests entering. Overall, a fantastic experience that I highly recommend.

The lodge is located near Kappabashi Bridge and this makes a very convenient and central location to access the well-known ponds. The buffet is good as there's a wide variety.

Food is a surprise. Dinner and breakfast are in buffet style with lots of international cuisine choices.
Staff is very polite and helpful.
The facilities are clean and comfy

Convenient location!
The room uses tatami mats and is located in a protected area. There is no air conditioning, only heating.
But the temperature in Kamikochi is lower at night, so it’s not a big problem
The room only has a toilet and no bathroom. You need to go to a public bathhouse to take a bath.
Breakfast and dinner are buffet style

The hotel provides umbrellas and sandals for going out, which is very considerate!

The room is not small in Japan, but the toilet does not have a shower, and you can only take a shower in the large public bath. The large public bath is not a hot spring!!! It is not suitable to go there in autumn. The room has a duvet, only a fan and a heater. It was too hot and I had to sleep with the window open.
The meal is not a Japanese service, but a buffet, and drinks are paid separately. The buffet tastes okay, but it is not worth the expensive room rate. In Hokkaido, you can eat snow crab buffet at the same price, but here you can only eat roast pork.

The standard room has better hardware facilities than the Japanese room, and it is more comfortable to stay. But there is no shower in the room. Because I transferred from the Japanese room, there was a difference of several hours between check-in and check-out. The hotel staff was very good and told me that they would not promise, but if there was a cleaned room, we could check in early.
