Matsue Hotels with Airport pickup service

We loved this hotel. Room size is above average for Japan and it is clean and modern with nice bathroom. Unlike other Japanese business hotels, the bathroom here had a separate shower/bath room from the sink and toilet so it was spacious. The breakfast buffet was really great with ample choices of western and Japanese foods. Location is nearby train station (and many other hotels). The only downside was that the hotel had switched to winter heating system so the only way to cool the room was to open the window. Definitely would stay there again if in Matsue.

It's a very Japanese-style hot spring hotel. You can take a bath and it's very clean. The only thing I'm not used to is asking for slippers when entering the door. The room is not too big, but very Japanese. After soaking in the soup, there is free ramen to eat in the evening and ice cream at the door.

Free parking! I can't. It is located in a long-established bar in Matsue City. I only recognized that the existing hotel has changed to the route-in group ～. I tried using it for the first time. It was a route-in firmly! , It has been properly renewed and is new and comfortable. There are breakfast and local menus, and I think that the number of items is abundant and fulfilling among the route-in groups! , Above all, free parking. I will follow this ... Most of the suburbs of Matsue Station are charged. Thank you! For dinner, please use nearby restaurants to support Matsue's food and beverage industry. Free transfer to Matsue station is also available, so it is also recommended for business use.

The staff were very kind with the impression that it was a retro hotel. It is easy to access Matsue Station / Matsue Shinjiko Onsen Station, and the tourist spots are close, and there are many rice shops around. It was a pack lunch though it was breakfast.

We stayed at the New Urban Hotel for 2 weeks in October while my husband was in Matsue for business. It is a lovely hotel in an excellent location in the city. I can’t say enough positive comments about the staff, and especially would like to mention Keiko Ueda. She goes above and beyond in making guests feel welcome and she is so helpful. Her English is very good and she repeatedly asked for feedback, did we need anything, was there anything in particular we wanted or wanted to do. All of the other staff are just as helpful, albeit many don’t speak English…however with the help of Google Translate, we had no difficulty. In staying there for 2 weeks, we were a familiar face and we’re always greeted warmly whenever we were in the lobby area. The location is excellent, about a 10 minute walk to Matsue Castle, about 15 minute walk to the Kyomise shopping district, and about 25 minute walk to the JR Matsue Transit Station, which has a wonderful Visitors Center with English speaking staff.. The hotel is directly across from Lake Shinji, and our room faced the lake providing lovely views. There is a walking path along the lake that is very nice and it is a short walk to Sunset Park to view the famous sunsets. Since my husband was working during the days, I was on my own to explore. I never felt uncomfortable or unsafe walking around this beautiful city. The city’s population is about 200K, and Matsue is known for still being “authentic Japan.” There is an on-site onsen at the hotel, which is very nice. There are separate baths for males and females and the hours are quite convenient. The lobby of the hotel has a section of travel amenities that are free to quests. Additionally, the hotel stocks a number of other items for borrowing that you might need, such as iron and ironing board. There is a laundry facility and a convenience store attached to the hotel. My only negative comment would be that the on-site buffet at the restaurant is the same for breakfast, lunch and dinner. But there are many wonderful restaurants in Matsue if you need more variety. If your travels find you going to Matsue, consider staying at the New Urban Hotel, you won’t be disappointed with the everything the hotel offers as well as the location.

I stayed for 2 nights on my first Shimane trip. When I arrived at the station of Matsue Shinjiko Onsen, the appearance of this inn that can be seen far from the station is a little old. However, all the staff are very kind and friendly, and the room I stayed at this time is a room with an open-air bath that has just been renovated. The large communal bath was large and very comfortable. The distance from Matsue Shinjiko Onsen Station was also 7 minutes walk somewhere, but it is convenient to take 5 minutes on foot. The first impression was completely the opposite and it was a very nice stay. It is an inn that I want to stay again.

The hotel is very new, we stayed in the lake view and bungalow (two beds + tatami), the four people were slightly crowded, but the floor-to-ceiling windows matched the scenery of the ramp lake, worth the full score! The lobby on the first floor of the hotel is very large, very new, full of sunshine, but not often encounter service staff, luggage needs to take the cart and return to the fixed point on the first floor. The architectural design is a bit strange that there is no door, there is a small door entrance, And two side doors. At first, I couldn't find the entrance. It was strange that guests needed to pay for parking (500 yen a day, the ticket card must be used for the counter to magnetic) The public bath on the top floor is good, the facilities are very new, the space is large, the view is good, the temperature is moderate. We like the casual clothes attached to the room (non-yukata, black top + pants), you can wear to the soup, you can also wear to sleep very comfortable, but you can not wear to the public area on the first floor and the restaurant on the second floor. We stayed during Christmas, only buffet restaurant to choose from, breakfast is good, dishes options are not very large but very delicate and delicious. Note that there are few restaurants around the hotel, if you stay here, if you don't want to eat expensive buffet restaurant on the second floor, It is best to finish your meal on the way back to the hotel.

I stayed at this Dormy hotel in April 2019, and chose it again for a two-night stay because it'd worked out well, and again, I wasn't disappointed. I think I may have even been in the same room! The quarters were plain and compact, and with no view to speak of, but well-designed and equipped, especially for working on the laptop - great desk space, easily accessible power sockets and good wi-fi. I loved having the amplifier, something most hotels don't include. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom had a mini tv (and welcoming duck), with a larger one in the bedroom. The complimentary inclusions were appreciated - for example, ramen in the evenings, bath salts (bonus), and peach jelly in the fridge. The reasonably-priced breakfast was good, and featured perfect tempura! The hotel is near the JR station and a 10 minute walk to Lake Shinji, 15-20 to the castle. Staff were efficient with tasks such as forwarding luggage. Overall, excellent value!
