Matsue Hotels with Bars

We stayed at the New Urban Hotel for 2 weeks in October while my husband was in Matsue for business. It is a lovely hotel in an excellent location in the city. I can’t say enough positive comments about the staff, and especially would like to mention Keiko Ueda. She goes above and beyond in making guests feel welcome and she is so helpful. Her English is very good and she repeatedly asked for feedback, did we need anything, was there anything in particular we wanted or wanted to do. All of the other staff are just as helpful, albeit many don’t speak English…however with the help of Google Translate, we had no difficulty. In staying there for 2 weeks, we were a familiar face and we’re always greeted warmly whenever we were in the lobby area. The location is excellent, about a 10 minute walk to Matsue Castle, about 15 minute walk to the Kyomise shopping district, and about 25 minute walk to the JR Matsue Transit Station, which has a wonderful Visitors Center with English speaking staff.. The hotel is directly across from Lake Shinji, and our room faced the lake providing lovely views. There is a walking path along the lake that is very nice and it is a short walk to Sunset Park to view the famous sunsets. Since my husband was working during the days, I was on my own to explore. I never felt uncomfortable or unsafe walking around this beautiful city. The city’s population is about 200K, and Matsue is known for still being “authentic Japan.” There is an on-site onsen at the hotel, which is very nice. There are separate baths for males and females and the hours are quite convenient. The lobby of the hotel has a section of travel amenities that are free to quests. Additionally, the hotel stocks a number of other items for borrowing that you might need, such as iron and ironing board. There is a laundry facility and a convenience store attached to the hotel. My only negative comment would be that the on-site buffet at the restaurant is the same for breakfast, lunch and dinner. But there are many wonderful restaurants in Matsue if you need more variety. If your travels find you going to Matsue, consider staying at the New Urban Hotel, you won’t be disappointed with the everything the hotel offers as well as the location.

The hotel is very new. We stayed in a lake view bungalow (two beds + tatami mats). It was a bit crowded for four people, but the floor-to-ceiling windows and the view of Lake Shinji made it worth full marks! The lobby on the first floor of the hotel is large, very new, and full of sunshine, but you don't often encounter service staff. You need to take the trolley yourself and return your luggage to the designated location on the first floor. The architectural design is a bit strange in that there is no door, but a small The main entrance, as well as two side entrances. It was a bit difficult to find the entrance at first. It is strange that guests need to pay for parking (500 yen per day, the ticket must be presented to the counter for magnetization) The public bath on the top floor is good, the facilities are very new, the space is large, the view is good, and the temperature is moderate. We like the casual clothes provided in the room (not a yukata, just a black top + pants), which can be worn to bathe or sleep in It is comfortable, but it cannot be worn in the public areas on the first floor and the restaurant on the second floor. We stayed during the Christmas period. There was only a buffet restaurant to choose from. The breakfast was very good. The menu options were not very large but the dishes were exquisite and delicious. It should be noted that there are very few restaurants around the hotel. If you stay here, you don’t want to eat expensive food on the second floor. Buffet restaurant, it is best to finish your meal during the trip and then return to the hotel.

I stayed for 2 nights on my first Shimane trip. When I arrived at the station of Matsue Shinjiko Onsen, the appearance of this inn that can be seen far from the station is a little old. The hotel swan and the hotel ichibata in front are too new, honestly, a little disappointed. However, all the staff are very kind and friendly, and the room I stayed at this time is a room with an open-air bath that has just been renovated. Also, there is a kind of side dish of color 々 that I can't eat. I can't eat dessert fruit! Then, please say that it is okay to bring it to your room and eat it. The large communal bath was large and very comfortable. The distance from Matsue Shinjiko Onsen Station was also 7 minutes walk somewhere, but it is convenient to take 5 minutes on foot. The first impression was completely the opposite and it was a very nice stay. It is an inn that I want to stay again.

One of the best decisions we made during our recent trip to Japan was staying at the Ohashikan. We stayed in a standard room overlooking the Ohashi River. The room was large and quiet. The futon beds were placed on top of foam mattresses and were very comfortable. The wifi was very good. The staff, especially James, were friendly and very helpful. Ohashikan has an excellent location. It is a ten minute or so walk to the Matsue Castle and the Castle area which includes Lafcadio Hearn’s Residence and Museum, and a longer walk in the other direction to the center of town and the railroad station. On the first night we dined at the hotel’s restaurant. The Japanese food was wonderful. Even if you don’t stay at the hotel go to the restaurant and enjoy the food at Shosuitei. We opted for the western breakfast which was also excellent, The hotel recently started a bar and grill, The Willows, on the 2nd floor with a long bar overlooking the river with James as the bartender/host. He offers specialty cocktails and superb Japanese whiskies. Its hours were Tuesday to Saturday from 5:30 to 10 pm when we stayed at the hotel. In addition to the local sites, if you have time, take a day trip by train to the Adachi Museum of Art in Yasugi with its garden. When you exit the Yasugi train station there is a free shuttle bus that takes you to the museum. If you travel to Matsue a stay at the Ohashikan is highly recommended. It will help make you visit a very special experience.

Because it was raining in the weather forecast that I checked in advance, I gave up hanging around the hot spring town and wanted to see the famous Lake Horido! I took the inn here away from the hot spring town. The room was also renewed in a room with a view of Lake Hodo, and I was able to spend it comfortably. In addition, the hot spring has a shuttle bus to the hotel choseien of the sister hall, and it is possible to enter the vast open-air bath like a pool called 100 Tsubo (with mixed bath bath bath) I had a really enjoyable experience. In addition, I also tasted the open-air bath that can see the lake in this hotel, and it is a simultaneous gain. This shuttle bus connects JR stations, hotels and sister buildings in hot spring towns, so you can enjoy the hot spring town on your way back and then send it to the station, and the quiet scenery of the lake view I think you can enjoy the bustle of the hot spring town and become a reliable foot for tourists.

It was good to be seen because the lady general of the nearby large inn was doing the main stage to 8/31 at the stage of Kawahara. It was a plan with breakfast without dinner, but the disposal gloves were all managed by the staff at the entrance at the breakfast buffet, so every time I went to get the dishes, I reused the used vinyl gloves. I was worried that it would not prevent infection. The dishes are generally satisfactory except that Prince Ming tried to dry. I felt that the bath and the water quality were good. it's a little negative that i was worried that there was no window in the narrow bath, so i couldn't ventilate. On the way back, I was happy to have souvenirs from Shimane Prefecture, pure rice ginjo sake and rice, and the number of people was unexpected ^ ^

I stayed without meals. It is convenient because the parking lot is right in front of you. Check-in is done by machine, but the front desk staff will help you when you need it. The room is compact but necessary and sufficient. I can see the oldness, but I don't care at all. The hot spring bath that I was most expecting was slowly soaked at a time when there were few customers. It was nice to be able to see the state of Lake Shinji and Ohashi while taking a bath. The bath continued to be warm. I was very satisfied with the price. I will stay again if I have the opportunity.

We stayed using national travel support. The customer service of the distance feeling without leaving was very good impression. The hot spring is a very soft and light feeling with the quality of Tamatsukuri spring. It was good that the public bath was a little cleaner. What impressed me was dinner and breakfast. Each item was carefully prepared and the taste was very delicious. Breakfast was a buffet style in the hall where corona measures were taken, and I was very satisfied with the large number of items. Tamazo Onsen is not a big hot spring town, but there are inns along the river, and the scenery is very good for a walk in a yukata. If I had the opportunity, it was an inn I would like to stay again.

漁港のすぐ前にある旅館です。小さな集落という感じで、集落全体が見渡せるぐらいの規模感ながら、いくつかの旅館が並んでいます。 青畳の路地があり、この地の観光名所の一つ。歴史ある建物が建ち並ぶ風情のある通りです。 建物は、手入れが行き届き、木材を適所に使用された居心地の良い空間です。部屋もきれいで、オーシャンビューというか、港ビューというか、とてもきれいな景色が楽しめます。海の向こうには米子の街並みと大山が見えます。 お食事もかなり頑張っているようで、見た目に豪華な鯛のお頭の煮物がありました。お刺身も良いですね。 朝食は、かなり美味しく、おすすめです。朝食会場は、文化財になっている本館で、なかなか他では見ることのできない素敵な建物での一時を楽しむことができます。 おすすめです。
