Beautiful, spacious room with a view of the Alps. Very clean. Given the heat, air conditioning would have been welcome. Every evening we ate outside on the beautiful terrace with a view of the beautiful garden. The dishes are very delicious and the desserts are to die for. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We will definitely come back here.

I visit the Parkhotel every year on the way to Italy or back. Perfect location and quiet. I like the restaurant and the beer garden behind the house. Josef has been a waiter there for years and has had everything under control. Service is exemplary, gastronomic pleasure for little money or luxury steak. It all depends on your taste! Be sure to try the cordon bleu and treat yourself to a Zillertaler Zwickl. Wonderful.

We were looking for a place to stay for one night on our way to Italy. The hotel is 5 minutes from the Brenner motorway and you can book a room without breakfast. This suited us as we were leaving at 6am. We were put in room 307. If you want a bright, light-filled room, this is not the place for you. We didn't care as we were only there for one night. The room is functionally furnished. The "couch chair" was faded and the mattresses were pretty worn. In the bathroom, the sink is on a wooden shelf that desperately needs some TLC. The bath rug was frayed (but clean). The hallway to the room could use a vacuum and the walls could do with a fresh coat of paint. The room itself was super clean. With the windows closed, you can't hear anything from the motorway or the train. When we were there, the outside temperature was 8 degrees and we slept with the windows closed. If it were any higher, it would probably be too warm in the room and there is no air conditioning. We had our dog with us - that costs €12.50 extra. The food in the in-house restaurant was excellent. Josef, the waiter, is great.

The food in the hotel was great. The staff was super nice. Very friendly and happy to joke around. I had a schnitzel that was super seasoned with a warm potato salad, which I highly recommend. The room was at the top and only had small windows. But it was clean and adequate for one night. Unfortunately, the beds were very saggy.

On our trip to Lake Garda, we stayed overnight at the Parkhotel Matrei. That was a very good idea. The hotel has a guest car park right next to the hotel. We received a very warm welcome from the staff. The room was perfect and would have been good for a longer stay. The hotel is beautifully decorated. We felt very comfortable. The food both in the evening and the breakfast the next morning were very tasty. The waiter was a real cheery character and always up for a joke. That created a great atmosphere, but the other staff were also, as you could tell, very well trained. We can only warmly recommend the hotel. The hotel is worth a trip to Matrei. On our next trip, we will definitely plan an overnight stay there again.

We stayed for one night to break up the journey home from Germany. Very nice hotel, with a nice park where you can relax or where the children can play. Very spacious and comfortable room, as well as the bathroom. Courteous staff, the owner also speaks Italian. We had dinner at the property and it was all very good.
