3-Star Hotels in Matosinhos

Schönes und ruhiges Hotel, besonders ideal für Kurzaufenthalte in Verbindung mit Flugreisen, da der Flughafen nur ein paar Kilometer entfernt ist. Mit Taxi oder Uber sehr gut angebunden. Das Zimmer war sauber und gut schallisoliert. Natürlich hört man die Frühaufsteher, die zum Flughafen müssen, oder die Nachtschwärmer, wenn sie sich um Mitternacht lautstark auf dem Gang unterhalten. Aber dafür kann die Hotelführung nichts, es ist einfach Rücksichtslosigkeit von ein paar Gästen. Es gibt die Möglichkeit, sich 24h am Tag an der Kaffeemaschine und am Saftautomaten zu bedienen. Das Frühstücksbuffet um 8,- Euro kann man dazubuchen. Nicht aufregend, aber ok. Der Aufpreis für meinen Hund, ein kleiner Yorkie, war € 7,50 pro Nacht. Das ist auf jeden Fall ok. Was mich allgemein bei B&B stört: Man kann zwar in bar bezahlen, aber 200,- Euro-Scheine (und 500,- er-Scheine) werden nicht angenommen. Für mich ist das ein offizielles Zahlungsmittel und es gibt genug Möglichkeiten, Falschgeld zu identifizieren. Für eine Hotelkette in dieser Preisklasse sollte das selbstverständlich sein!

Booked for a week long stay in this hotel, & was disappointed on arrival. Receptionist was rude, the room was completely visible from the street with no privacy curtains, so we could either keep the blackout curtains completely closed or have absolutely no privacy from a very busy intersection. Also, the toilet seat, bathroom door & air conditioning were all broken or faulty. We didn’t make a fuss because we were planning to spend our days out & at the beach, which is 10 min walk away. But we then had a family emergency back home & had to cut our trip short, & rearrange our flights urgently. We asked about getting a partial refund for the days we couldn’t stay, offering to pay a cancellation fee, as we were trying to pay for last minute flights home. The receptionist was INCREDIBLY rude & dismissive. He not only refused to help, but told us to “go away” for a few hours, saying he would call management but refused to do so on the spot, for no reason. We told him we were in a hurry trying to arrange flights home & he simply shrugged, annoyed. He didn’t try to call anyone or suggest he couldn’t at that time, he was simply refusing to & told us to go away for a few hours, when we were trying to make urgent arrangements. I called Urban Hotel offices seven times with no response, emailed about the situation & got no assistance, no refund, no credit, no basic help. An utterly subpar hotel, but the lack of politeness, basic respect & compassion was appalling. Would advise against staying here.

We got very cozy house with own bathroom and it was really good. You get everything you need there. Good equiped kithcen area, indoor dinner place and outdoor terrace, bathroom is also good for this type of accomodation. Pool was already open in May, but it was a little bit cold for it, but it looks nice. Cozy territory makes you feel in a forest. We stayed there for night on our Camino Way, but I wish I could stay there for longer.

What a fabulous little find, brilliant location, beautifully done rooms and Sara and the staff are so friendly, we’ll defiantly be back, as the sign in reception says we arrived as guests but will leave as friends- loved it 😍

We stayed in a newly renovated room at the lower floor, number 6, with two beds, large box and refrigerator. It was all super clean and your towels were changed every day, we stayed 5 days and we had no problem, the super-amable staff, Ines, the pension owner was always ready to answer all our doubts (in Portuguese or by gestures) even if the Spanish understands it perfectly. The hotel is very close to the metro station and in 20 minutes you are in the centre of Porto. The area is very quiet and the guest house is surrounded by restaurants and shops where you can buy everything.
