A very, very rare new hotel in Europe. It is right on the edge of the old town of Matera. There is a Chinese restaurant nearby. The parking was originally charged, but it was confiscated in the end. I don’t know if I heard it wrong or forgot.

We stayed at this hotel, one block from the Sassi. We were welcomed by a lovely woman at the desk who helped us park the car, showed us to our room and recommended several wonderful restaurants in Matera. The rooms were exceptionally clean and comfortable and well equipped with espresso machine and nice lighting. Breakfast was a full buffet including local pomegranate jelly. A great way to start our visit to the Puglia/Basilicata regions. Thank you!!!

We had a wonderful time at La Suite. It was a last minute switch from a luxury hotel too far out of town. We were so lucky to have found la Suite. It was a great location just off the pedestrian area, easy to walk anywhere, the Sassi entry points and the many good restaurants in Matera. Particularly handy in the recurrent rain we faced. The staff were very friendly and helpful in suggesting restaurants etc. Its a great base in Matera. Only hiccup was a bit slow breakfast on the last day when they didn't have many guests and everyhing had to be pre-ordered and a slight miscommunication on the laundry - it showed up finally. All in all a lovely place.

Lovely location on the edge of the old town. Staff are very attentive. Great storage for your bikes. Breakfast was aplenty. Very very comfortable beds. We had a lovely balcony but unfortunately no chairs to sit on, which would have been great

The heating in the room worked and we asked the hotel to shut it down. They said that this is what they are doing and all night we had call to the reception without them really doing anything to help us. In the morning we asked to speak with the manager and he even didn’t want to speak with us, they said that they are sorry but it is what it is! We will never come black to this hotel with this approach.

The location was good. Everything in black, modern but depressing. Parking expensive so cheaper to use the parking garage just 50 m down the road. The "garden café" was like sitting in a hallway overlooking the parking lot in the back - although they had tried to shield it with fake tall plants. Breakfast very basic for a 5 star hotel. The staff was helpful when they tried to just find one English speaking channel on the tv. Took a long time but finally got only one - CNN (which was ok) but every time you put the tv on you would have to go though search items etc. Not good. The spa facilities were nothing to write home about. No bathrobes provided in the room. There are so many far better accommodations nearby for half the price.

This is a beautiful hotel. Our suite was large and we had a terrace overlooking the castle and another overlooking the old town. There was a coffee machine in the room and a huge walk in shower.the bed was enormous and very comfy. The one tiny negative was that the wifi only worked well near the door, the rest of the tome it disconnected. Lovely breakfast, great coffee and lots of choice
