I had an amazing stay at Zanzibar Pearl in Matemwe. The hotel’s location, right on the beach, offers stunning views and a peaceful atmosphere. The rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable, with breathtaking ocean views. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, making sure I felt welcome throughout my stay. The food was delicious, especially the fresh seafood, and dining by the beach at sunset was a highlight. With great access to local activities and the natural beauty of Zanzibar, Zanzibar Pearl is the perfect spot for both relaxation and adventure. Highly recommend!

We couldn’t leave faster. First impression was very friendly staff, location is nice. However, whilst ordering a drink at the bar we watched the bartender place his hands into the ice bucket and drop the ice into drinks- these weren’t our drinks. We immediately called him out and he was astonished we had a problem with this. We immediately made arrangements to check out the following morning. Pool - water is cloudy Food - some of the worst I’ve experienced, fish so dry and heavily salted, omelettes like rubber Room - had air-con but 3 open windows, lol, so air- con makes no difference Staff -kids serving and pouring drinks at the bar, manager insisted we write that she was responsive in our complaint

Absolutely wonderful place to stay and relax. The staff could not be more helpful and welcoming. We enjoyed our stay at Zanzibar Pearl and have no hesitation recommending them to everyone. Our Oyster Villa was perfect for our needs (family of 4 with boys ages 14 and 12). Matemwe was away from the bustle of more populated spots, and we really liked the chill pace and place. Watch out for sea urchins if you walk out during low tide. We enjoyed dinner at the local restaurant, Utulivu, which we walked to 2 nights of our stay. We had an amazing time at Zanzibar Pearl. The staff really is the best! We had a great time chatting with the serving staff, were able to get much needed laundry done asap, and, when our scheduled departure transportation was late, hospitality went above and beyond to make sure we got where we needed to go. Thank you, Zanzibar Pearl, for a perfect stay and end to our trip!

We had a wonderful stay! The staff, the beach, the facilities and rooms were all fabulous! We kite surfed down the beach, snorkeling with One Ocean, next door and walked for kms. It was a great experience and we look forward to returning!!!!!

Zanzibar Pearl surpassed our expectations. The rooms are amazing and exceed any resort in the Caribbean or elsewhere. The staff at Zanzibar Pearl are professionals and experts in the hospitality and travel industry. The weather (and diving) were unbeatable. Unforgettable trip to Africa — Zanzibar Pearl is THE place to stay.

We stayed in this beautiful hotel over new year. It is a little piece of paradise with a lovely long beach. The rooms are very nice & comfortable (quite funky) although the beds are a little hard for our liking. The staff are absolutely lovely, we would come back again for sure!

I spent 9 nights at the Zanzibar Pearl and absolutely loved it! The staff is very helpful and super friendly (thank you Elisa and Prisca!), and I loved the beautifully decorated room (we had deluxe rooms). The grounds are very well taken care of and impeccable and we spent a lot of time around the pool area after a busy day. The food was top notch and great quality for similar priced meals elsewhere on the beach. I also highly recommend the PADI-5 star One Ocean diving center nearby who took us on beautiful dives everyday.

I had an amazing stay here at the pearl. The hotel is located in front of the beach. For everbody who‘s looking for a quite place in paradise. I also like, that you can get some vegetarian food. White sand, amazing people, funny activities, just had wunderful holidays
