Good hotel just stayed with hotel full of students so breakfast and dinner was like a cattle market but had the pool area all day until they came back from their trips beach was close by

It is with considerable disappointment that I pen this review. Our experience at SANT JORDI, a purported 5-star property, fell drastically short of our expectations and has left us questioning the credibility of its rating. Upon our late-night arrival, we were eager to unwind and revel in the luxury amenities, especially the bathtub, which was a pivotal factor in our selection of this hotel. However, the excitement quickly morphed into disillusionment when we encountered a large, unsightly brown stain on the side of the bath, resembling feces. This egregious lapse in cleanliness prompted immediate communication with the reception, an interaction we hadn’t anticipated. Our subsequent meticulous inspection of the room uncovered more shortcomings: black mold inhabited the shower area, posing a severe health and safety risk. Furthermore, the water tap, when operated, emitted a noise so intrusive that it had the potential to disrupt the slumber of other guests within proximity. These occurrences were not only inconvenient but also reprehensible, considering the supposed standing of the hotel. Our concerns, articulated at check-out, were met with assurances of a full refund for the inconveniences suffered. Despite this promise, the refund is yet to materialize, adding to our grievances. Our stay at SANT JORDI was marred by unacceptable cleanliness standards, glaring maintenance oversights, and unfulfilled promises, all incongruent with the hotel's purported stature. We left feeling deceived and distressed, far from the rejuvenating experience we sought. It's imperative for prospective guests to approach with caution and for the management to institute immediate rectifications, lest the hotel’s reputation suffers irreversible damage. Rating: ⭐☆☆☆☆

Unusual experience last night at the Fonda Europa. After a hard day's work and after having something to eat, I go to Reception to be assigned the room that I had reserved for days. The young receptionist looks stunned as he acknowledges my reservation but says it has been inexplicably canceled by he doesn't know by whom. A system failure that insists on deciphering uselessly for 50 minutes! until he gives up and decides to put me up in a room that luckily had been left free. He hands me the electronic card for room 212. I head exhausted after the desperate wait but the door does not open. I go downstairs, tell him and with a certain snub he accompanies me but he can't open it either. He goes up and down a couple more times until 20 minutes later he manages to open it. At 1:15 in the morning I finally get into the damn room and fall asleep. At 7 I get up and decide to take a shower but the hot water doesn't come out. Incredulous and stupefied, I go to reception to complain and settle the bill. They apologize for the inexperience of the night manager and in a fit of generosity he says that they will keep the original price of my reservation -110 €!- and that they invite me to breakfast. ”No, thanks. I'm in a hurry” and I rush out never to return.

Excellent hotel, and very clean. Staff are friendly and always available to help with anything you need. Towels for by the pool are also available. The beach is a 25 minute walk away but there are regular buses if you don’t want to walk. There is a regular bus into the centre of Barcelona too which only takes 20 minutes. If you walk up from the hotel there is a supermarket and a few shops. We went to the supermarket for breakfast items on a couple of days because we had breakfast in the hotel on the first morning and wouldn’t say it was worth the 15 euros each that they charge. The restaurant is open until 10.30pm so if you’re arriving late like we did, make sure you eat before you get there. There were a few ants in the room - BUT we were abroad and on the ground level so what can we expect. It was fine and didn’t bother us because there were only a very small number of them. Had there been more we would have said something. Will definitely return to this hotel. Thank you Hotel Arrey Alella! :-)

A clean hotel in the 3 star category. All in all, you can recommend the hotel for a relaxing holiday here in Calella. The rooms are functional and clean. The staff is friendly and the pool is nice too. It is an 8-minute walk to the beach, which is separated by a railway line, but there is an underpass and opportunities to pass. The beach section is spacious and clean. An ideal place to plan your excursions and activities. The food on offer for breakfast, lunch and dinner is varied, fresh and, in my opinion, good, you can always find something and get full. If necessary, there are countless restaurants in the area. The pool bar staff do a good job and they were friendly and professional at all times. Clear recommendation.

I visited this hotel in June and July. It had been recommended to me by a friend, who was in the nearby hospital. I think the price quality is excellent. The staff were very helpful too. 24 hour tea/coffee making is very welcome and the buffet breakfast had a range of options, the fruit being the best. There is a Mercadona next door and some pleasant walks nearby. The hotel is situated 30 minutes walking distance from the centre, or about 8€ in a taxi

Stayed at Bernat II for a week in May and, once again, had a very enjoyable holiday. This was my second time staying here. There are so many positives about this hotel. We booked full-board (as had two elderly relatives with us) and found it fantastic value for money. For the price we paid, the food is excellent - breakfast, lunch and dinner are all self-service buffet meals with a huge selection of food, nicely presented. Something for everyone! Live cooking station each day with fish/meat/omelettes freshly cooked. Location is excellent - less than 5 mins walk from the beach and the town centre. Lots of little bars, restaurants and shops nearby. A big Mercadona just around the corner. Bus to/from Barcelona, as well as up the coast directly behind the hotel. Drops you right in the centre of the city a few mins walk from Plaza de Catalunya. Room was spotlessly clean, modern and comfortable with a balcony. We were on the top floor and had a partial sea-view. Two large double beds in each room. Room cleaned daily and fresh towels supplied. Beach towels are provided free of charge at reception. Service is excellent which seems to come from the top down. Management were kind enough to offer a voucher last time when we had to cancel due to a family bereavement, for which we are very grateful. Basic hotel on Calella sea front and a bargain at 144 Euro for two nights half board for a single room Small room with a single bed, narrow balcony and reasonable size bathroom. Small pool and sun terrace and a restaurant with very small tables Staff were friendly and helpful, receptionist on arrival couldn't help enough, and an English lady in the restaurant called Debbie went out of her way to make me feel at home and offered her assistance if I needed anything. I increased my review score because of these nice ladies.

Where to start with this gem of sunshine! Location. Arrived into Girona Airport with a 35 minute drive to Kaktus Hotel, calella! Hotel Checked into a Urban room with Balcony Street View, room massive, clean and modern, plenty of storage, king size bed, large light windows with electronic screens for privacy, refrigerator, TV, Telephone, safe, WIFI, desk, sofa. Beds were spacious and super comfy! A little outside noise, but nothing to intrusive. The Hotel offers two pools, we paid extra for the Sky Lounge and worth every penny, breathtaking sea views, panoramic pool and plenty of sun loungers. We paid 20 euro a day, but free if you are staying in the suite or nature rooms. For 20 euro we had great views, great service and occasionally complimentary treats, croissants, champagne, fruit juice. We had lunch every day and the food was exceptional. Food The breakfast buffet was nothing I had seen before for a hotel, the abundance of food on offer and quality was out of this world! The restaurant was super clean, staff lovely and friendly. As a vegetarian, I was well catered for. Best buffet I had ever had, wished more hotels would follow the same quality and standard. Nighttime The roof top bar is a great place to relax, have a drink and look out at the stars! Overall I loved it, it was a weekend break and I can't wait to book again! If you want to go and relax with the beach on your doorstep, this is just the place!
