Midigama Holiday Inn

I booked 2 nights through Trip.com. Only got told the night before when I called them that they couldn’t offer the 2nd night and they were unable provide a convincing reason. They still asked me to come and said other people might cancel and they can find alternative accommodation. I couldn’t change my plan at the last minute, so I still went there. When I arrived, they said the second night was double booked, and blamed ******* not sending a clear communication to them (then how could they find my booking when I called them? Shouldn’t they keep track on all the platforms they are using?) And now apparently they decided to take the other booking, not mine. This is totally unfair, and I took all the consequences of their mistakes. And they did nothing but saying sorry and taking the fee of my first night. In terms of alternative accommodation, I thought they were going to find that for me. But instead, they told me a few hotels and asked me to check availability by myself. And after I spent long time calling and even walking to the other hotels under grilling sun, they were all fully booked. Finally they referred me to another hotel owned by their friend. I was exhausted and didn’t want more drama. So I took it. But that hotel totally fell below my standard and was terrible. And there was no hot water in the shower. Messaged them but got ignored. The room I stayed was not the room I booked. And it was a worse one but they charged me the same price. The room also didn’t have curtains to provide privacy - people walking by can see through. I was shocked by the way they treated the customer and the way they avoided their responsibility and make their customer to incur the cost of their mistake. And they lost nothing! A big RED flag for anyone considering booking with them.

We booked the Holiday Inn in Midigama on the strength of the reviews in Trip advisor and were not disappointed. The whole place was immaculate and super clean. It's Holiday Inn by name, it's not the chain. It is a family owned business who really care about the standard they are offering. I will not hesitate to book here again next time.

Wonderful place! We stayed for two weeks because we felt at home. The room was very clean, comfortable, and very quiet. The hosts are very friendly, attentive, and pay great attention to detail. Whenever you need them, they are there to help. Overall, the atmosphere is very peaceful and perfect for surfing, daily yoga practice, and there are many restaurants with great food around. We highly recommend it 100/100, and we would stay here to live if we could!!!

My wife and I had the most wonderful stay here to celebrate our 1-year wedding anniversary. The guesthouse is run by an incredibly warm and welcoming local family who made sure every detail was perfect. The rooms were spotlessly clean, comfortable, and air-conditioned, providing the perfect retreat after exploring the area. The location itself is stunning, with beautiful greenery all around, and we loved watching the monkeys in the surrounding trees. This place truly felt like a home away from home, and we can’t wait to come back. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Midigama!

I stayed 3 weeks at Midigama Holiday Inn. I had the room with balcony and hot tub. The place was even better than I expected! So nice room and location! Just a walk away from Midigama beach and Lazy surfspots! Also the hosts was amazing, very helpful and did very delicious breakfast. I really recommend this place, definetly best place in Midigama. And I will someday go back!:)

A boutique hotel, a lovely family. Eddie and Hennessy received me in an exceptional way. They arranged a taxi for me at a fair price from the airport. I booked a room for a week and stayed for two weeks. This is the only hotel with air conditioning in all of Midigama.....close to a few minutes from the most reputed surfing spots in the area. A lovely and quiet place, incredibly clean, 2 minutes walk to the beach...highly recommend. Eddie can arrange anything you need, a motorcycle or a tuk tuk. Trips in the area. And more... I will definitely come back again!
