Castello di Montignano Relais & Spa

10/10 recommendation for Castello Di Montignano! We got married in the church on site at Castello Di Montignano in August 2023. We had a three day celebration starting with a pasta party, the wedding day and finally a pizza party at the pool garden. Our guests were blown away by the venue and continuously complimented the venue, food and scenery. Everyone was so relaxed and just enjoyed themselves! We were so lucky to find a venue with a church, a pool and accommodation all on site but having Giuseppe and Nicole manage the venue was the real bonus! We had the best three days ever and would do it all again next Summer if we could! Giuseppe and Nicole were exceptional and went above and beyond for us over the three days, we can’t thank them enough for the experience we had. All our friends and family are just hoping we renew our vows in 10 years’ time so we can celebrate all over again!! I cannot recommend Castello Di Montignano enough as a wedding venue, it’s really one in a million. Fantastic venue for anyone who wants to celebrate, have fun and a stress free wedding!

I was recently married at Castello di Montignano this summer and could not have had a better experience. Weddings of course have their moments of insanity and problems but the owner and staff here were wonderful and helped problem solve in every capacity. The property itself is beautiful with a park and pool and gorgeous vistas of the countryside and sunflower fields and the rooms are comfortable and unique and spacious. The building is all beautiful stone, the breakfast buffet was excellent and the reception of everyone was warm and welcoming. The staff helped coordinate wedding details as well and their knowledge of the vendors and local area was extremely helpful. We had a boutique and intimate wedding and I couldn't be happier with how everything turned out and I can't wait to go back and visit. We attended a family wedding over three days. The setting, food and ambience truly exceeded our expectations. The staff were attentive, friendly and professional. The food was amazing on all three days. Highly recommend. Perhaps the reception area could benefit from a makeover. When you arrive it may appear drab but that does not reflect the overall experience.

We got married at CDM in April 2022 and we honestly had the best weekend of our lives. Our wedding was initially planned for April 2020 but had to be rescheduled several times due to covid. Beatrice and her team made this a seamless and stress-free process and this was our experience from start to finish. From organising the individual events, the vendors and suppliers and the accommodation, Beatrice was also able to help with information about the surrounding area and anything else we needed to make our wedding as perfect and personal as possible. We felt totally at home at this beautiful venue and the staff were incredible. Our guests had the best time and said it was the best wedding and venue they'd ever been to! We loved every minute and can't wait to come back - thank you!

We had booked the castle in 2020 in the height of covid and hadn’t seen the venue in person. We booked it purely based on reviews on here and a virtual tour on Skype with the wedding planner Beatrice and owner Giuseppe. Just from the video tour we could tell how special a place it was and how much the staff cared about what they did. In August 2020 we flew out to Italy to see the venue in person and were instantly blown away. Every member of staff knew who we were and looked after us. We arranged to do the menu tasting and the cake tasting when we were there and it was incredible. Our wedding sadly got postponed due to covid so we changed our date to August 2022. Beatrice was there every step of the way and helped us to change our wedding from an original 2 day event to 3 days. In the lead up to the wedding we were getting really apprehensive because of the weather as it was scheduled to rain. Beatrice was so calm and reassuring and informed us about different options if needed but in the end the weather was absolutely glorious so there was no need to worry! Our time at the castle was simply magical. On day 1 we had a welcome dinner in the horthus garden of the castle which was absolutely beautiful. The food was sensational and the drinks were flowing. It was hard not to get too carried away. Later on, most of us went to the spa and carried on the celebrations in there. Our guests couldn’t believe it!! The wedding day was just incredible. Everything was exactly as I had imagined but better. Mariana was in charge of flowers and decorations and did a spectacular job. The food at the castle was out of this world! Our guests are still talking about it and many of them have said it was the best they’d had in Italy! I’m vegan and gluten free and they were so accommodating. The wedding cake certainly didn’t disappoint. On day 3 we had a pizza pool party and again the food was sensational! It just didn’t stop coming!! All of our guests couldn’t believe how good it was and just kept asking us how we had found this place! We also paid for a cocktail package on this day which went down a real treat. There was no cocktail that William the barman couldn’t make, and if he was ever unsure, he would go into the back and look up how to do it. People always talk about how great the staff at Castello di Montignano are and they’re not wrong. They completely make the castle what it is and we are so so grateful to have had our wedding at such an incredible place! Special thanks to Beatrice our wedding planner who couldn’t do enough for us, she is worth her weight in gold. To Mariana the florist who took a brief and ran with it; we couldn’t have asked for anything more! The bar and kitchen staff - there are too many to name! They were absolutely amazing! My wife and I celebrated our wedding at this amazing venue with 50 friends and Family. We paid for the 3 day package which was worth every penny. The welcome aperitif in the Horthus garden was a beautiful setting, the wedding day itself was amazing with our ceremony on the pool gardens overlooking the hills and the pool / pizza party on the final day was a great way to finish the celebrations. The staff couldn’t do enough for you, the setting is idyllic and everyone had the best 3 days. The food was delicious and there was lots of it. We had complete exclusivity of the venue so could stay up late, use the small spa inside the hotel at free will, relax by the pool day and night. I highly recommend anyone looking for an Italian wedding to consider this venue, you won’t regret it. Special mention to Beatrice, the wedding planner who helped us plan our day and answer a million questions. We also used wedding motion Italy for our wedding video and Alessandro Mari for Photos. Both were very professional and excellent at what they do. The venue is around 1.5 hours north of Rome or 40 mins south of Perugia, which both have airports.
