Just back from a stay in Hotel Villa Lubrense, I've seen the mixed reviews for this hotel so here is my twopence worth, The Hotel has a few different accomadations, there is some self catering Bungalows and Chalets and then the main hotel itself.. I'm guessing has 10 maybe 12 rooms. My friend and I opted to stay in the hotel seaview/balcony room so that is all I can base my review on... I absolutely fell in love with this place, It's a traditional family run hotel, We met a granny, dad, mum and son and they could not do enough for us, we had breakfast on the restaurant balcony overlooking the bay of naples every morning.. They say on website brekkie is a coffee and crossaint... I think they need to update this... Miriam feed us to the brim every morning with lovely cured meats, fresh crossaint, any amount of pastries a choice of scrambled egg or omelette..Fresh fruit, the most beautiful cappacino, I'm getting hungry just typing this😋 The grounds itself are so well maintained.. It truly is like a scene from an Italian film/book, we left every morning early to do day trips and didn't come back to hotel til late the first 4 or 5 days, those few days we were looking for restaurants with lovely sunset views, forgetting that we literally had the most breathtaking sunset on our own door step🤦♀️ The hotel is about 4km from Sorrento so not central but the price reflects that and I would not want to stay in the middle of sorrento and not wake up to the incredible views... There was a bus at the top of the road from hotel so it was not a problem, it brings you to centre to sorrento for 2/3 euro. We spent the last 2 days chilling by the pool and it was just bliss..There is also a small private beach that every guest has access too... We had a beautiful lunch with local wine (ehhh €6 a bottle!) at the lil pool bar prepared by Alisandro who has only just joined family buisness last year, he worked in a mitchelin star restaurant for 8 years previously. They are the hardest working family and staff, I've ever come across, and I really think their trying to improve their reviews on trip advisor... So I hope this review helps a little.. In busy season I would cut them a lil slack as there is small staff numbers which I'm sure they will add to for that reason but also it's nice to be kind... Miriam and Alisandro especially thank you for making our time in your hotel very special..my only wish is I get to visit this lovely little hotel again From one of the Irish Girls.. Martina 🥰
