Save yourself a headache and stay somewhere else. This should be an hourly rate motel at best. Over priced for what you get. Smells funny, gross, you're lucky if everything works, staff is horrible. Especially Crystal.

The shower heated up quickly but the drain was slow. Could use a shelf in the handicapped bathroom and another table by the coat hooks, but reasonably furnished with sizeable chairs. Maintenance fixed the weather stripping on the door and that solved the noise issue. But since this is Mason City noise is not a problem after 9 o'clock. The motel was built as a travelodge back in the 50s and they still have sleepy on a tile in some of the bathrooms. The bed is comfortable and the rooms are easy to sleep in. Plenty of electrical outlets as well. A good value for the price.

I stayed here during RAGBRAI because I wanted a reprieve from sleeping in a tent. The tent was more comfortable and sanitary. There was mold in the bathroom (including what looked like a mushroom growing from under the sink), nothing felt clean, the carpet was sticky and everything was very beaten up. This is the worst hotel I've ever stayed at, and that's saying a lot since I've been to eastern Europe.
