This is a hot spring hotel in Mashike Town. We visited for a day trip (reasonable at 600 yen per person). It's a normal hotel, but it also has a fitness club and seems to be popular with locals. The baths are a good size, with normal hot water, black silica bath, sauna, cold bath, and thoron hot spring, and the thoron hot spring was nice and warm. The hot springs seemed to be popular with locals.

It's my fault for not doing enough research, but there's nothing around the hotel. When I asked the front desk about dinner, they just said "There are a few places around Mashike Station" and told me to "find it on my own". The bath, which was my purpose, was also a hot spring, but I didn't feel it had any particular benefits, and one of the baths was broken and had no water. There is no open-air bath, which is a shame considering the location and the view. The room was pretty clean and nice, but the screen door didn't close properly, so I couldn't leave the window open. The washing machine was broken so I couldn't do laundry. Anyway, the first impression from the front desk was so bad that I couldn't enjoy it. I won't be coming back.

Showa hot spring hotel. WIFI is only around the front desk. It is not barrier-free and the second floor is only stairs. Not sure if the air conditioning works. The food was passable, but the facilities were NG.
