Blue Shades Motel

Maryborough|1.27km from city centre
So impressed with this place! It was the cleanest, most attractive & well designed motel room I’ve stayed in (& I’ve stayed in close to a couple hundred over the years). For under $130 (for longer stays), no other motel I’ve stayed in is as good value as here. The bench space in both the main room & bathroom was huge - this is one of the main things I appreciate as I detest living off the floor & out of my luggage. Bed was very comfy, as was the dual-seater lounge. Quality TV & Split system heating/cooling. Good shower with reliable hot water. Bright LED ceiling lights, with warmer style bed lamps. The whole room was CLEAN - no sticky surfaces anywhere (great sign!). Decor was very modern, it felt like I was the first to stay there. Quiet too - good insulation between rooms (brick) & road noise wasn’t an issue (in room 5 fyi). Hosts were very helpful, with adding extra coat hangers upon request & replenishing cutlery where needed. Supplied crockery & dishwashing goods were also very handy, & because they were also clean, I had no hesitation in using them (unlike most/all other motels I’ve stayed in) & the room service was fantastic - Great choice of meals with minimal wait time…made my stay much more convenient. Location was great too - opposite the decent Lamington pub & not far from the centre of Maryborough. It’s rare that a room hits so many positive points like this - know all the flaws motel rooms of this price exhibit, so it’s refreshing to see owners who take such care in their presentation, cleanliness & service. Thanks again for the hospitality, Kelly etc.

Arkana Motel

Maryborough|1.2km from city centre
The hotel is on Ferry Street which is a major street in Maryborough, which means its easy to walk a couple of blocks to find food or drive (without needing a GPS) to get back. Check in process was super simple - loved that it is paid on arrival as with Covid restrictions this really limits plans and booking. Loved that there was cold milk at the reception fridge for you to take to your room for coffee too! Parking is right out front your door, which is so convenient for unpacking. The rooms are really big! There is alot of room and they are clean and tidy. Love the apartment had a big fridge with freezer and so much bench space. I also loved that the bedroom could be open and flowing with the lounge or closed off by sliding doors. The bed was extremely comfortable! We slept with the fan on low and windows open (middle of summer) and barely heard any traffic - so as people have previously complained about i was a little worried but this was DEFINITELY not the case) THE POOL was our favourite place! Its a fantastic size, not too deep for families to swim and feel safe and it was nice in the afternoon to relax at the pool. There is alot of undercover / outdoor seating you an enjoy a bbq or take away meal without being in your room which was also really cool, there is also chairs out the front of your room too - so much seating without having to always be inside! Check out process was the easiest thing i have ever done - pass the keys over and off you go! I was very thankful, as I needed to attend an appt and had to check out a little later, and the manager was very accomodating. Overall the hotel is great and will definitely stay again when we come to maryborough next

Carriers Arms Hotel Motel
4.2/548 Reviews
A group of us went to the Carrier's Arm for dinner. Meals were a generous size and delicious. Lots of meat on my husband's ribs and my steak was cooked perfectly medium. Best presented drink fridge in the bar that I've ever seen. Also has a small kids room for the little ones.
McNevins Maryborough Motel
4.2/5102 Reviews
We stopped in at Maryborough to visit family on our way back home. We stayed at this motel - McNevins and found it excellent. We have two young children 2 1/2 yrs and an 8mth old. The motel was really well presented, very clean and tidy, all the staff were very attentive and made us feel very welcome. We ate breakfast both mornings and it was great. The Eggs Benedict were perfectly done and the staff are very accommodating. We ate dinner at the main restaurant 1 night, I had steak which was delicious and my wife had the crispy Salmon - all excellent. If you're in the Maryborough area and need accommodation, Stay at McNevins - Highly recommended.
Cara Motel
4.4/567 Reviews
We recently stayed at the Cara Motel for a total of 13 nights over two stays. We found Imre & Rita very pleasant and accommodating. Nothing was too difficult. The room was spotless and everything worked well. The room was serviced daily with fresh linen. It was possibly the best motel that we have stayed in. Seven stars at least.
Mineral Sands Motel
3.9/545 Reviews
Older building but fresh look inside. Small room but has everything: compact kitchenette (toaster, micro, kettle, dishes etc) a queen and single bed, good bed and bedding, good lighting, lots of power points. Outside immaculate: table and 2 chairs, walkways freshly painted. Free continental breakfast brought to room the night before. That's a treat. Traffic noise till after rush hour, but then quiet. We stayed downstairs to avoid hauling luggage. Fast food outlets, Coles, Aldi, a 5 minute walk away. Check-in was easy, friendly, informative. A good place for an overnighter. If time, walk through downtown - amazing history and architecture in tact. An Aussie Old Town gem!
