Hotel is great location but bedrooms in need of serious refurbishment. The showers are tiny . We are small people but even we struggled to use them . There is a wooden shelf right behind your head in the bed and it is dangerous and my husband banged his head turning over in bed at night. Moreover when checking in you need to ask if there are any functions planned during your stay and if so insist on a bedroom as far away from the function suite as possible . We were in room 19 right above the function suite and had to endure blaring club type music and dj until 2am . Other than offering to move us ( at 1am !) the night manager could do nothing . The hotel did give us a discount on our bill but we would much rather this had not happened in the first place . It is a very large hotel with plenty of rooms and there is a total failure of management that there was no forward planning or consideration for this . Moreover although reception staff were lovely the manager who was in the hotel before we checked out did not take the time to meet with us personally despite been told of our upset and that we had requested a meeting

This hotel used to be the only decent hotel in Martina Franca, and it still is. Conveniently located in the newer part of the city, it offers a decent restaurant, a small but functional swimming pool, a charming garden, and large rooms in the old part of the house (smaller in the new part). Nothing luxurious, but convenient and clean. It would require a renovation. The restaurant had basic but friendly service; unfortunately, the breakfast was not of top quality.

Nice Hotel with free parking and good breakfast. Very helpful, friendly staff (gentleman behind the desk even helped us in the parking lot solve an issue we had with our rental car). Big outdoor market on Wednesdays near the hotel. Well located.

Very old hotel and shabby , it is not 4 stars , 3 stars as maximum… Good restaurant but very noisy. Not recommended for a romantic trip and only for 1 or 2 days as maximum not for long stays. Very uncomfortable bathroom, the shower is incredibly small. Friendly stall.

so rare to stay at a hotel with such a charming feel to it. Also, the room was in very good condition, the food (breakfast and meals) was excellent, with waiting staff who actually seem to enjoy their job as well as being good at it. Very extensive grounds in addition to the pool area. And easy, quick, walk to the historic area

Have to agree with previous reviews that this hotel's character is a bit old style but not the worse for it. Staff are very helpful and attentive. Pietro in the restaurant was very friendly (his wife comes from Sevenoaks!) and Gianni on front of house was very good in arranging us two transfers to and from Bari Airport. Hotel is clean and we had room 16 overlooking the pool. Spacious room with good shower and bed was comfy. There is a Fridge with a Mini Bar but there are no tea and coffee making facilities. Pool was a decent size and good for swimming (some sun beds could do with being replaced though) There are also no parasols available so shade is hard to find if the pool is busy but we had it to ourselves on many occasions. The gardens are well kept but the gardener with his leaf blower could be annoying but that's a minor gripe. Breakfast is adequate, nothing over fancy but lots of local delicacies. cheese, ham etc. They will do scrambled eggs etc if you ask but hot food is not readily available. Location is perfect, being just a 10 minute walk from the main hub of the town where there are plenty of restaurants. Al Bacareto is a great bar and does a wonderful Aperol Spritz for 4 Euros and terrific Bruschetta too. Atmosphere is very relaxed everywhere and we never felt intimidated at any time even walking back to the hotel very late at night.

Second hotel booked by tour operator for our group. The staff are lovely, the breakfast is amble and the rooms spacious. But it is past its prime and needs a good overhaul. It has nice grounds and a swimming pool in season.

Both the setting and locale of the Park Hotel San Michele are fine, its grounds are nicely landscaped including a delightful swimming pool. But the interior of the hotel is disappointing and the breakfast buffet is dismal. The room interior has old linoleum tile and a disappointing bath with a very tiny shower stall and soap dispensers that are essentially inoperable. The hotel seems to cater to weddings as I could hear a loud party until it died down after midnight, so if you choose to stay here I suggest a room on an upper floor rather than the first floor.

even if this hotel is a little bit old fashion (but renovated rooms) the service makes the difference very nice people here nice garden but as we went there in december we had not really the opportunity to enjoy this close to the center some stress on wednesday morning as there is a market in front of the entrance but there is a way out at the back of the hotel !
