A superb hotel, exactly what the Logis de France group represents. Only minutes from the port of Dieppe, we were in beautiful Normandy countryside. The hotel looks like a postcard picture of a French hotel. In a small hamlet with half-timbered houses and a river once crossed by Joan of Arc. The river runs at the bottom of the garden and is filled with birdsong. The room was fine, comfortable beds, plenty of space. Perhaps some renovation of the bathroom facility needed but it was clean and functional. We loved the restaurant so much. Service was precise and correct, the menu was imaginative, local and seasonal. The charlotte of sweetbreads and the giant souffle dessert were stand outs for me but in truth, both nights' dinners were incredibly good. From amuse bouche to final spoonful. The staff give care, attention and a smile. The breakfast was also excellent and thank you to the cheerful Madame who keeps here eye on all and makes sure we are satisfied. We loved the fresh orange juice and the local ham. I absolutely would stay here again and my friend and I used it as a base for seeing local places of interest, of which there are many eg Maison D'Ango, Galerie Michel Ciry, eglise of St Valery , Varengeville and Veules les Roses. Plus the Cote d'Albatre and of course, Dieppe. Come here, sip a glass of pommeau by the river and breathe. Merci à tous, de Melanie et Una, UK.

We have stayed at the Clos Normand several times and as usual found it splendid . Very comfortable room and an excellent dinner were so good. The high light for me is the Grand Marnier Soufflé so good ! I also need a gluten free diet which the Clos Normand manage splendidly.

Lovely hotel, situated by a river with extensive grounds and ample parking. Great room, recently refurbished and very clean and comfortable. Central heating works well. Very warm welcome from the delightful Sophie. Dinner in restaurant superb and service excellent. Very good reasonably priced buffet breakfast. All in all a memorable stay.

Fabulous hospitality from Sophie and her team. Stayed four nights in a standard room overlooking the beautiful gardens. The reason we stayed here was because on an earlier trip to Dieppe we had Sunday lunch in the restaurant and it was one of the best meals we had ever had. We had dinner four times and the food and wine was exceptional. Thank you again, Sophie

From our phone call when we confirmed our reservation for dinner to our arrival and welcome at Reception, we experienced the energy and delight generated in this wonderful hotel. This somehow set the tone for everything we experienced at Auberge Le Clos Normand. The beautiful grounds, our room, lovely bed linen and a wonderfully comfortable bed as well as the most fabulous meal in the charming restaurant - all were perfect. Add to that the staff who share energy and pleasure in making guests so welcome, including our waiter in the restaurant, though clearly very knowledgeable about both food and wine, advised us generously and without any pretention. He was professional, informative, amusing and relaxed and must take pleasure in serving guests the superb cuisine presented by the chef. In all the very many years we have been coming to France, it has been a challenge to find somewhere as lovely to stay near one of the ports. We will definitely be back – perhaps for a weekend as well as when we travel further south. Auberge Le Clos Normand is exceptional and we have huge admiration for all that has been inspired here.

We stayed for 3 nights as we wanted to explore this part of Normandy (that we previously just drive through to Brittany). The auberge was very peaceful with plentiful and easy parking on site with lovely gardens to look at by the river. Our room was on the first floor (above the 50 seat hospitality suite which fortunately wasn't being used as I suspect that would get quite noisy) and was comfortable. the downside of the room was that everyone else had to walk past it & could see through our windows so if we wanted privacy we had to close the curtains , removing the garden view and making the room very dark. . We ate in the restaurant each night (as there were no other places in the village and we didn't want to drive). The set meal was priced on the price of your chosen starter and main with the dessert & cheese f.o.c. and worked out about €38 on average. There was however a wide choice and everything we had was excellently cooked and tasted good (except the amuse bouche which was strangely not nice). We would have no hesitation about staying here again but probably on an overnight if we were going on elsewhere in France.

Typical French Auberge.Large well equipped room overlooking the beautiful gardens.Very good restaurant with plenty of choice at very reasonable prices. Lovely terrace by the river with good quality seating. What makes this place special is Sophie who seems to do everything.Reception.drinks service in the garden, maitre d in the restaurant and all done with a beaming smile. Very good value and highly recommended.

What a wonderful reception from Sophie and what a lovely hotel and grounds. Our room, 11, is 'disi' adapted and is in need of some renovation and TLC, but it was at ground level, was very close to the main building and looked out to the gardens. The hotel is a 'gourmand Logis' which is fine, but we are not gourmets so we found the a la carte dinner to be rather expensive. The continental breakfast was excellent and the young lady server, whose name I didn't ask, was superb. Should we travel this way again we would certainly stay here. Thank you Sophie!!
