If you want to stay in a beautiful old Chateau then this is for you. Great service and wonderful food all delivered by the owners and family. we stayed for only one night while travelling north but it felt we had found a home from home.

The owners were not very nice upon checking in, they would only give us 2 little glasses of ice for our room & was told we would be charged $10. Corking fee if we opened any of our wine that we brought there. We couldn’t lock our 2 doors & u had to drag your luggage over deep gravel to get to your room. Very unfriendly couple that owned it.

We stayed the night on our drive from uk to Portugal. Beautiful old chateau done up really nicely friendly family running it. Clean and beautiful grounds. Cute little village we had dinner in. We brought our dog too. Def recommend

My husband ani very much enjoyed our two day stay at the chateau. Quite and peaceful and beautiful surroundings. The couple who own and run it are perfect. We look forward to returning sometime in the future. Hopefully for a longer stay.

It don't represent the photos on web.not maintained garden.(Even the grass is not cut for months. Wifi not Internet don't work. Run down place. owner lady is not ready to offer any service that is offered but just collect money. Very old not maintained furniture and only the pool is up to standard.

We arrived at The Chateau later in the evening and right away Christian made us feel comfortable and welcome. We had a very nice conversation with the two gentle dogs that are very used to people and seem to love to be talked to. The charming rooms and the decor are just what I expected for a castle of that age. The french dinner with a cozy fireplace helped keep a very nice ambiance. Could be a place to stay when visiting Montesquieu's castle!

absolutely wonderful stay. The proprietor was extremely helpful and friendly. The room was very inviting and clean. wonderful location. don’t stay anywhere else.
