The service was very friendly and the check-in and check-out was very quick. The fitness area and the animals were a lot of fun for my children. Unfortunately, the opening hours of the reception are very short and the barrier only opens at 8 am, so I often had to park my car outside overnight. It would be nice if the barrier opened at 6 am, as is generally the case.

I don't like writing bad reviews but I feel like I need to warn other tent campers that if you're staying in a small tent with lightweight pegs like we were (we were interrailing so had to pack light) then you may struggle with putting up your tent. We also had problems with ants getting into our tent and we found several holes in our groundsheet which we couldn't tell whether they were from the ants biting their way through or the rocks on the ground. Of course, none of this is the fault of the campsite, but if you're light camping then this probably isn't for you. We are seasoned campers and always bring appropriate equipment, but we did find it hard at times. One complaint I would have is the noise levels. Most French campsites I've been too have a limit on noise, but here people play music until the wee hours and bands play at the campsite and neighbouring campsites until well into the night which can be annoying if you want a good night's sleep and, again, are staying in a tent. I'm sure it's not a problem if you are in a cabin or caravan. Also, if you don't have a car and are using public transport, this campsite is very far from easy transport (the bus barely ever runs so we had to trek into the local town everyday). So, all in all, probably wouldn't recommend for tent campers looking for somewhere to stay near Marseille.

We stayed in this lovely site by accident! There was a fuel strike in France and we were unable to get diesel so we arrived in our Motorhome with only 100 kms left. We stayed for two nights. The beach was very close to the site and almost deserted in early October. The pitches are a good site and a mix of long termers, cabins and tourers. The sanitary facilities are clean and perfectly adequate for a two star site. The staff were outstandingly helpful! The lady in reception advised us as to what supermarkets in the area we’re getting fuel and how quickly they were selling out. We stayed for two lovely nights and left to queue for diesel in Martiques on the second morning at 0800. We will definitely be back.

We had a nice and relaxing stay at Camping Pascalounet. It is located beautifully next to a sandy beach and wild cliffs. Our cabin was well equipped and the beds were unexpectedly comfortable. A great place with friendly and helpful staff. Thanks.
