Lovely riad. Great location. Staff friendly and helpful. Mint tea on arrival and given map and suggestions as to where to visit. Organised airport transport (recommended) and will organise excursions. Riad is great for sitting and relaxing. Lots of space to do that. We were in a rooftop suite; cosy but good for my son and I as separate bedrooms.

I have just spent 4 nights at this beautiful Riad with my husband and 8 year old daughter. We were welcomed by Maria with green tea and she gave us a map explaining best places to visit and excursions she could offer. Our room was comfy and clean with plenty of hot water from the shower. Each morning we had breakfast on the roof terrace and the rest of staff were very friendly and going out of their way making my daughter a hot chocolate each morning. There is a small pool were my daughter played in most days. The Riad is centrally located to lots of restaurants, souks and the main square and also lots of other places of interest. Our best day was the camel trip arranged by the Riad and included driving through the Atlas mountain's and out to the desert. We were treated to lunch then an hour ride on the camels. Overall had a fantastic time and would defiantly recommend this Riad and would like to say a BIG thank you to Maria and her colleagues for a great stay.

This place, also known as "Riad Abaka by ghali annexe", is more reminiscent of an backpackers or a hostel, with a plastic xmas tree, a big screen showcases all the security cameras in the building, a fridge for purchasing coke and a big sign at the entry trying to sell you tourist-trap trips. Accompanied by the sound of techno music. Tho we requested an early check in, something that was confirmed in writing, our room was not ready when we arrived. Also the room was dark and messy, not nearly as as one might think by looking at the flattering photos of this place. There was also no couch, as there were in the photo. Opening the windows would let som light in, but the room was positioned right next to the reception! Which the manager claim we should have known when booking thru *********** ... Poor service and defencive manager!

This hotel offers a traditional riad experience. The rooms are clean and the staff are friendly/helpful. Breakfast was also enjoyable, but found it to be quite small. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay here. Whilst in Marrakech though, we did also stay at Riad Ghali which was a similar price, but was more impressive given its pool and central courtyard. I would recommend that one more of the two. The only thing I didn't like about our stay, and something in fact that I'm quite angry about, is that we were charged an extra 3% on top of the bill because we paid with a debit/credit card. This is an absolute joke given the prevalence of electronic payment today and felt very exploitative (in fact, this practice is illegal across most of Europe). We did not experience this at our hotels in either Casablanca or Rabat, so it seems just to be the riads ripping off their guests in Morocco.

I booked this riad for an authentic experience with my Mum and sisters, and whilst it was in the heart of the Medina and had plenty of charm it was NOT what we had expected beyond that. I had arranged and booked an airport pickup, aware of how difficult riads are to find without this. But no pickup ever arrived and no one answered my messages or calls so we.had no choice but to take a taxi which dropped us outside of the medina - the first horrendous experience happened now. We were harrased and our suitcases grabbed from our hands when these people realised we were lost. They took us to our road, which granted we would never have found without them, but then became even more aggressive when I only offered them 5€ and demanded 40€. The road staff watched on and then lectured us as we entered. The check-in took around an hour which was just plane bizarre whilst an erratic man scrambled around telling irrelevant stories, playing voice notes from previous guests to him, then finally walking us to the top of the riad to our room which ended up being on the ground floor! It was fast becoming a huge joke! We had booked to go for dinner at Nomad, a 5 minute walk at most, but the same guy on check-in insisted on walking us there, and walked us directly into the square, nowhere near the restaurant leaving us lost and disoriented again. He seemed in on the scamming behaviour that sadly goes on in Marrakech. Our room was basically in reception...and backed into the main door so it was constantly noisy. The room claimed to be a suite to sleep 4 adults. Another joke! It was tiny with no surfaces and nowhere for suitcases. Opening one suitcase blocked the small walkway left. The wardrobe was stuffed full of bedding so it made it unusable too. We were given 2 fun size bottles of showergel for the entire 4 night stay and when asked for more they claimed they didn't understand. Getting clean towels was also a myth and mysteriously they struggled to understand this too. The room wasn't as described at all and didn't have the facilities listed. The lady who worked on reception during the day was hostile and often hard to communicate with. She claimed that I hadn't paid for the room even though I had paid in full on my credit card prior to arrival. She argued for me to check before she would believe this to be true. Breakfast was ok but be warned that it is in a different location from the riad which isn't advertised. There are an enormous amount of riads to choose from in the Medina but this one is to be massively avoided!

I stayed here in June 2022. The Riad is beautiful, very traditional, rooms are spotless and the welcome by Noor and the staff is fantastic. Breakfast was very good and filling. It is not easy to find the Riad as it is in the middle of the Medina, but just follow Google maps. Marrakesh can be overwhelming at first, but it is beautiful and the people are very friendly. This Riad is a little oasis of calm in the madness of the city.

We loved our stay at this beautiful riad. Very central, only about five minutes walk to the main square. We were met from our airport transport (arranged for us beforehand by the riad) by staff from the riad which was very helpful as the medina is made up of winding lanes. Breakfast was good every day, lovely coffee, boiled eggs various pancakes and pastries and freshly squeezed orange juice served by the pretty pool. The upstairs terrace was a lovely place to sit on a sunny afternoon or to listen to the call to prayer at sunset. The staff were very very helpful and always very pleasant, a real family atmosphere. We were made to feel very welcome. The rooms are gorgeous, the beds very comfortable and overall we loved this riad and would definitely come back to stay again

Very welcoming. They make us feel like we were at home. And also as if we were at their house, which in this case was fantastic. The facilities are very interesting, and totally typical of a Berber Riad. Very well located, 2 minutes from the main square and the main Souks of the Medina. Very importantly, this Riad is right inside the Medina, which in itself is an unforgettable experience. But even after all the good that this Riad has, the best thing about it is the friendliness and affection that all the staff give us. It almost becomes love for us. Super recommended.

Incredible hotel and unbeatable staff!! Special mention to Soufian, Abdel, Karima and Cherase. They are incredible, friendly and attentive. They made us feel at home with their close treatment. The hotel is beautiful, clean and the breakfast is spectacular!! I definitely recommend a stay at the hotel. Many thanks to the staff who assisted us, who are those already mentioned. Thanks to them our stay in Marrakech was much better. From Spain we remember you with love!!
