Just back from a 2 night stay at Villa Makassar. Beautiful hotel with stunning hotel rooms and facilities. Staff at the hotel couldn’t do enough to help and answered all queries. Very friendly as well. Service in the bar and restaurant was fantastic and the food top quality. We had a full body massage on our final day, which we both commented was one of the best we have ever had. Can’t recommend the place highly enough!

From the moment we arrived we had friendly top rate service, very attentive to our needs! Our room was beautiful, clean and had all the amenities. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The restaurant is phenomenal and had a wonderful entertainer playing old and new standards. The location is central to getting around Marrakech.

One of the friendliest, most genuine teams we have ever had the pleasure of staying with. The team at Villa Makassar couldn't have been more accommodating and more interested in our wellbeing, comfort and enjoyment and they were effortless in doing so. They're warmth made the trip all the better. We honestly wouldn't have a single complaint to make. From the Reception to the Kitchen to the Spa and maintenance people. Every single person made this trip a truly memorable one, before and during our visit and when we come back there is nowhere else we will stay.

From the moment we arrived at this little gem of a boutique hotel, we were welcomed like old friends. The hotels overall vibe is more akin to a members club... with antique furnishings and themed rooms - a mile away from what you get at chain hotels. What differentiates the Villa Makassar from its competition is undoubtedly its people, who made every effort to get to know us and understand what we wanted. Our special thanks and appreciation go without hesitation to Samira, Yousef, Zach, and Ismail for their attentive, personal service throughout - we felt like members of a close knit family, rather than guests of a hotel team. If you get the chance, stop by the hotels restaurant for dinner and you'll be treated to some piano bar classics from resident pianist, Billy... and yes, he takes requests!

My friend discovered the villa by chance during the day when we were looking for a place to celebrate New Year. We were welcomed with such warmth and friendliness that was incredible. We were invited to the rooftop and offered tea while looking at the menu. A driver was organized for us to pick us up in the evening. We had the most fantastic dinner and start into the new year with all other guests. For sure I will return to this jewel in the middle of Marrakesch whenever I will be back. Perfect stay in a peaceful location. The unassuming exterior doors open and you are in an artistic beautiful haven. Every detail of your stay has been thoughtfully planned. Room amenities are excellent. The entire environment is calm and soothing. Food is excellent. Service is exceptional. Jalila & Samira were always available and so helpful. If you are looking for a 5 star stay in the old city, you will be thrilled with this stay!

Absolutely incredible boutique hotel. The staff are so attentive and nothing is too much trouble. From the moment we arrived and was greeted by Samira we immediately felt at home. Special mention also goes to Zac who always had a smile on his face and was so helpful throughout our stay. In fact all the staff were so lovely and keen to make sure we were well looked after. The room was very nice and super clean. The bed was comfortable and all linen spotless. The addition of robes and slippers was welcome, as was the coffee machine and pods. Would definitely recommend this oasis of calm in a hectic city.

This Riad is exceptional and the staff are totally amazing, Samira runs a perfect team that caters for your every requirement, with a smile and eager to please every time. The rooms and surrounding tick every box, comfortable and makes you feel at home. The food in the restaurant is excellent, the outdoor heated pool a great size for swimming or taking a dip, then you have a hot tub on the roof terrace where you can relax on large beds with towels, a sun hat and waiters looking after your every need. The attention to detail throughout the whole establishment is second to none, the creative 'art deco' interior is amazing and worthy of the world renowned status which it holds. Honestly cant recommend Villa Makassar highly enough, we have been twice in 2024 and can't wait for future visits in 2025. Thank you Samira and everyone else for looking after us all so well.
