Perfect stay in a peaceful location. The unassuming exterior doors open and you are in an artistic beautiful haven. Every detail of your stay has been thoughtfully planned. Room amenities are excellent. The entire environment is calm and soothing. Food is excellent. Service is exceptional. Jalila & Samira were always available and so helpful. If you are looking for a 5 star stay in the old city, you will be thrilled with this stay!

Absolutely incredible boutique hotel. The staff are so attentive and nothing is too much trouble. From the moment we arrived and was greeted by Samira we immediately felt at home. Special mention also goes to Zac who always had a smile on his face and was so helpful throughout our stay. In fact all the staff were so lovely and keen to make sure we were well looked after. The room was very nice and super clean. The bed was comfortable and all linen spotless. The addition of robes and slippers was welcome, as was the coffee machine and pods. Would definitely recommend this oasis of calm in a hectic city.

This Riad is exceptional and the staff are totally amazing, Samira runs a perfect team that caters for your every requirement, with a smile and eager to please every time. The rooms and surrounding tick every box, comfortable and makes you feel at home. The food in the restaurant is excellent, the outdoor heated pool a great size for swimming or taking a dip, then you have a hot tub on the roof terrace where you can relax on large beds with towels, a sun hat and waiters looking after your every need. The attention to detail throughout the whole establishment is second to none, the creative 'art deco' interior is amazing and worthy of the world renowned status which it holds. Honestly cant recommend Villa Makassar highly enough, we have been twice in 2024 and can't wait for future visits in 2025. Thank you Samira and everyone else for looking after us all so well.

Myself and my partner stayed at Villa Makassar for a week in October and we had such an amazing time from start to finish . The staff were so nice and friendly they couldn’t do enough for us . We loved our breakfast every morning and seeing the friendly staff was such a nice way to start the day . We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and really hope to stay again in the future .

We stayed 4 nights for a winter sun break; afternoon temperatures were 28-32 C with lovely blue skies after the almost continuous grey of Liverpool in October. Villa Makassar is a fabulous place to stay in the Kasbah part of the Medina. The Villa Makassar facilities are excellent (my wife had her first visit to a Hammam), with lovely Art Deco furnishings, a quiet rooftop terrace/bar, and all the staff are not just efficient, they are helpful, knowledgable and extremely friendly (shout-outs for Samira, Jalila, Yousef, Ismail, Ouafaa, and Billy the piano player). Breakfast was varied each morning with decaf coffee available, and the one dinner we had on the first night was well-prepared and delicious; better than meals we had subsequently at Azar and Al Fassia Aguedal. We would thoroughly recommend this boutique hotel to anyone visiting Marrakech. It is an oasis of peace, tranquillity, and exceptional service with the excitement and chaos of the Medina just outside the front door. Most of the sights and sites of the Medina are within easy walking distance. We would certainly stay here again if we return to Marrakech. Alan & Dee

A wonderful hotel from start to finish. The location is ideal for exploring the real Marrakesh, and it's busy streets soaked in history and character. The staff (Samira, Ismail, Yousef, and Zak) went above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable. The food was excellent, and the staff created a warm and welcoming atmosphere in all areas of the villa. I would definitely recommend Villa Makassar for your stay in Marrakesh.

Exceptional service in a unique setting.An oasis of calm in the frantic city. The hotel design is unique with some lovely original Art Deco pieces. Standout feature is the staff who were discreetly attentive and friendly at all times. Having live piano in restaurant was a nice touch.

From the moment we entered the premises to the final exit 5 days later we were treated like VIPs. We cannot fault any of the staff at his hotel who treated us with respect, kindness and were extremely helpful. Special thanks must go to manager Sameera, head waiter Ismail and for breakfast, Zachary. They were exemplary though, including the Spa staff who treated us to great Hammam and massage. When the rooftop jacuzzi broke down we were given an hour free at the special one in the Spa downstairs. Breakfast was simple but high quality and tasty. We only visited the hotel restaurant once for food but my choice of Berber beef tagine was the best meal we had in Marrakesh. Hotel was also very impressive to look at with its art deco themed interiors and our room which was small but clean, cozy and tastefully presented.
