Very basic riad. We went as a couple and we were VERY DISSATISFIED. 1. It charges you some fees (€32), which do not appear in the reservation, on the contrary, they appear paid in my online reservation. 2. The room does not even have hand soap. 3. In 4 days the towels were not changed. 4. Breakfast is from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. We could only have breakfast one day out of 4, with no option to be before or to take away. Very very scarce! Breads, jam, butter and thermos with coffee and milk. 5. Despite having air conditioning, it is not allowed to be used, because electricity is expensive. At night it was very cold, and he did not let us plug it in even to shower. We took a reception air control, and turned it on one day, that night it lowered the leads so we couldn't use it. We discussed it with him, and we ended up arguing. 6. Watch out! Excursions, airport transfers... Twice as expensive as in other places. He asked us for €25 to take us to the airport. The taxi charged us €10. In general, poor treatment and the feeling of a greedy and profitable owner.

My friend and I booked this trip a year ago and have been so excited! We arrived late at night and Mohammed was there waiting for us. We had some lovely rosé and a great nights sleep! The Riad is very peaceful and clean. The lady who makes breakfast makes the best pancakes and the apricot jam is delicious! The next day Mohammed took us for a walk around and showed us the way back to the Riad via some land marks it was really easy and is a central location but just enough out of the way to be really tranquil. The next day we went on an excursion with Mohammed, he took us to the Jardin Majorelle and the YSL museum. He also took us to the Palemraie and we rode camels and drank tea! He also took us to a few surprise places which were lovely! We had such a lovely time staying at this Riad. It is simple and calm which is just what you need after a day walking in Marrakech!

Great welcome, or so I thought! He asked twice us if we'd like to have dinner with him. We agreed, and the meals were perfectly acceptable. It was only when we got the bill that we realised he'd charged us for the meals! He never said that at the start. Said the a/c was broken, so no a/c throughout our stay. No soap or shower gel provided. Had to sneak a tablet off his washbasin! Offered to guide us to the Secret Garden, but he didn't know where it was! On morning of departure he didn't provide breakfast! All in all not an experience we'd want to repeat.

Visited Marrakech with my partner and stayed in this lovely little Riad. Overall, the Riad is basic, but it does the job and you pay for what you get. Room was basic, and quite dark, but had enough to make your stay comfortable. It was cleaned daily and kept in a good condition. My only criticism was the heating is controlled by the owner who only puts it on for a few hours in the evening, so this did lead to the room being quite cold at times. Breakfast, was again basic with it being moroccan bread with butter and jam served with coffee. I do have to say the Riad owner Mohamed was excellent throughout our stay. He gave us a tour of the local area on arrival and gave us plenty of tips and advice on how to stay out of trouble with the tourist traps you find in Marrakesh. We also went on a day trip with him to the Atlas Mountains, which was absolutely fantastic and highly recommended. Another great part of this Riad was it's location with it being only a 15 minute walk to the main Medina and less than 15 minutes from the airport. And plenty of shops, restaurants, attractions, ATMs etc, all within a reasonable walking distance. But do bear in mind, the Riad is tucked away in a maze of alleyways, so you will get lost at some point. And it is around a 10 minute walk to the closest pick up for taxis/airport transfers. But that's the Marrakesh experience for you! Would definitely recommend this to anyone who happy with with a basic but comfortable accommodation.

The host Mohammad is crook, overcharges for every excursion. Does back handed deals with the locals and and charges you twice over for actives like quad biking. I would avoid at all costs, not a genuine guy at all.

This is by far the worst hospitality experience I have ever had in my life. On maps location looks near Madina, but it's a maze of little allys and this riad is at the far dead end of one of them, so in reality it's not a good location at all. Rooms are beyond bad; DOOR DOESN’T CLOSE PROPERLY & DOESN’T LOCK! SO NO PRIVACY OR SAFETY! No soap or shower gel which is no big deal, but worst of all he wouldn’t give you the Air-Conditioning Remote, he must come outside the room to switch it on himself, then THE BIGGEST SHOCK WHEN I HEARD HIM SNEAKING AFTER MIDNIGHT SWITCHING AIR-CON OFF!!! AT 44°C HEAT!!! I ended up leaving this HELLHOLE and booked another beautiful Riad (Pachavana), for about the same price, beautiful room with Air-Con (Remote Control in the room), Swimming Pool, Free Wi-Fi, delicious breakfast and amazing, lovely staff. Don’t waste your money and time staying in this awful place.

We stayed with Mohammed at the end of May, at the beginning of Ramadan 2017. Welcomed by Mohammed and given the tour of the local area. Marakesh is certainly an experience! He showed us round and gave us the landmarks to find our way back. The hotel us simple and pleasant with a peaceful courtyard. It can be noise at night and the call to prayer is quite unsettling at 4 am. Good is simple and tasty and the maid is very sweet. We would recommend this riad

This was a disappointing stay. We were overcharged for the city tax on arrival. The breakfast consists of coffee and two pieces of bread with butter and marmalade - certainly no fruit or croissants. None of the rooms have locks on. Absolutely no privacy as you can hear every conversation in the whole place - including those that go on late into the night/early morning. Our room needed a really good clean and the whole place needs decorated. We set off thinking Mohammed the host was really friendly but unfortunately soon realised all he wanted was our money. Up to a point we accepted that but we had paid for our evening meal before we went and the first night was soup, a small tagine and an orange cut in half - it was wholesome and good. What spoiled it was we asked for a beer but were persuaded to drink rose wine instead and then charged £18 for the bottle. There was no access to water/tea/coffee unless we paid the whole time. The bathroom was something else and the toilet leaked for the first 2 days. The second night's meal was bread, a small tagine (1 chicken leg each) and again an orange between us. We ate out the remaining nights. Do not take any notice of warnings about eating in the restaurants - there are plenty and the food is good if you chose well. The last morning we were up early so left with no breakfast/water/anything to drink and no sign of Mohammed as there was no more money to be made. We were also charged about £15 for 2 beers. Would not go back here. There is an 'authentic' stay and there is a dump and unfortunately this is the latter.

We bought a very cheap package with BA so were expecting it to be quite basic which is was - cold and not even soap in the bathroom and our room was not cleaned during the week but the riad has character and is located in a quiet area about 10 mins walk from Jemaa el Fnaa. However what we did not expect was the attitude of the owner Mohammed. He was rude and exploded in a fit of anger when we asked if we could have our breakfast which was clearly ready in the kitchen, as we had been waiting for it and we were within the fixed 9-10am breakfast time slot. We were accused of being disrespectful and walking too noisily (we did not). We got the impression you got a lot better service if you bought his excursions or other extras.
