We had a lovely time at Barney Creek Vineyard Cottages. There were 8 of us, so we stayed in every cottage except for Pecans Camping cabin. Each cottage had a unique theme, which was very cute, All the cottages were well appointed, everything you needed was there. Attention to detail was amazing. The cottages were very clean and comfortable in everyway. We had perfect weather, clear blue skies. A beautiful, place to relax, read a book, sip on a champagne or 2 and enjoy the country life. The owners, Aspen and Brendon were very attentive and super nice.

Last minute decision to stay here for 1 night to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We were fortunate to be able to book the Hill Station Cottage which is very quaint. Could do with a refresh but I’m sure the new owners will be doing that at sometime in the future. The cottage is clean & comfortable with lovely decor including a 4 poster bed & antiques. The surrounding mountain views are lovely but obscured by a hedge. Unfortunately the hedge needs to be there as the road down to reception & the other cottages runs in front of the cottage. The lovely owner Aspen advised she had tried to trim the hedge but was having issues due to all the recent rain. The BBQ on the back deck is a bonus but could do with an upgrade. The slatted wooden door bi-fold door could also be replaced with something for more privacy. The whole property is beautiful & so relaxing with a lovely creek running by. We thoroughly enjoyed our night’s stay. Aspen is very welcoming. We didn’t get to meet her husband Brendan. I’m sure he was busy maintaining the property & vineyards somewhere. Looking forward to a return visit . We’d love to try Florries Cottage sometime.

Our stay in Florries Cottage exceeded our expectations on all levels. Friendly hosts, spotless accommodation with all the bells and whistles, generous breakfast, tasty home cooked 2 course dinner, best ever sparkling Shiraz and Alfie Shiraz, sounds of nature. What else equals perfection. Thank you Brendan and Aspen. You offer an experience that’s stands out above the rest! Will be back for sure.

We (my wife and myself and dog) have just spent 3 days at the Barney Creek Vineyard Cottages and the experience was amazing. We met our hosts, Aspen and Brendan on arrival. So refreshing to meet people who are just that.... genuinely wanting to make sure we had what we wanted and needed. We stayed at the HIlltop Cottage which is themed on the Orient Express. The cottage is first in line, but about 100 metres or so away from the main reception and wine tasting area and the nearest cottage probably 80 metres away. The cottage was pet friendly and had a basketful of "stuff" for out little dog. Blankets, a couch cover, paw wipes, a lead, and his own tennis ball to keep!!! A pot bellied stove to keep us warm during the chilly nights was far better than the air condioner [which we didn't use]. Kitchenware etc. was abundant and clean. The surrounding area gave us many enjoyable hikes, and if you are fit and can climb, then Mount Barney is a good challenge. All in all just a great place to stay to unwind [and the wine is very nice as well] and chill out with no interruptions. We will definitely be returning!!!

Louis the Labradoodle writes: The creek in flood, the really interesting walks, the odour of the wallaby night visitors and the freedom just to run, sniff, drink creek water and chase dragonflies made this mid-week stay a dog-heaven adventure, oh, Peter and Brenda enjoyed it, too.

My husband and I have just returned from our second visit to Barney Creek Vineyard Cottages. Once again we were not disappointed. We first stayed in Florries Cottage in July last year. Such an amazing experience in Winter when we could take advantage of both the indoor and outdoor fireplaces. We have just spent 3 nights staying in the Lakeside Cottage. This time staying in Januarty we had no need to use the indoor fireplace, but we were extremely grateful for the air-conditioner when we were sleeping. The cottage had a real rustic feel. It was very clean and comfortable, with amazing views through every window and on the deck where we spent most of our time. We well and truly connected with nature, as the wildlife is amazing. We love bushwalking so this was the perfect place for us. We've already picked the next walk we'd like to do when we return. It was so lovely catching up with Aspen and Brendan again. They are doing an amazing job on the property and in a short period of time have made heaps of changes and improvements. We're looking forward to sharing this piece of paradise with some friends when we celebrate Christmas in July this year! We've booked the Garden Cottage which accommodates 8 people. Thanks Aspen and Brendan for sharing your wonderful property with us. You'll be seeing us often!

We stayed in the Hill Station which was like a trip back in time travelling on the Orient Express. The old train station is located at the top of the hill so catches all of the breezes and also provides stunning views of the surrounding mountains. No internet or phone connection and satellite TV so it was certainly a get away from everything. Very enjoyable double spa in our bathroom. Amenities and details very good. Took a long enjoyable walk around the property through the vineyards, eucalypt plantation and along the creek - very scenic and quiet apart from the birds. Looking forward to meeting the new owners when we stay again for sure and the wine is good too. You will have a very nice stay in a lovely part of Australia - the Scenic Rim - the only place in Australia to make Lonely Planets top places to visit in the world in 2022 (number 8!).
