Our room was the tiniest we had ever had. It faced the front of the hotel so traffic noise was a problem. The furniture was old and shabby. Late in the evenings teenagers met beneath our windows causing noise until late. Having a restful evening in pleasant circumstances was simply not possible. Downstairs in the restaurant run by Whitbread we were served on the first 2 days by men who insisted on trying to remember our orders without writing them down. Invariably some items were missing. The choice of breakfast buffet was very small, and has been getting smaller and smaller over the years at Premier Inns. Walls and skirtings were grubby and had large black patches which were dirty. On our last day two energetic girls served us. They wrote down orders and I saw that some wall marks had been cleaned off. Our last four stays at Premier Inns have been marred by poor service, dirty conditions and a generally lax attitude to guest's needs. Staff are always pleasant and helpful but are not plentiful enough to give a good experience. The general management of the hotels must be very inefficient to allow the multiple problems at Premier Inns to persist. What a shame. At one time they were excellent and we had enjoyed our stays. Now we will stay elsewhere.

Hotel was very convenient. We could walk to everything. Plenty of shops, cafes, restaurants to choose from. Close to the river so very nice to walk along

Positives: the hotel is in a great location; parking is in a public car park 5 minutes walk at £6 for 24 hrs; drop off is outside the pub; the room we had was clean with good strong shower Negatives: the hotel has no lift, is tired and clearly in need of renovation especially as it is an expensive Premier Inn - twice more than what we paid for in Marlow and Stratford-upon-Avon on this same trip.

Convenient location within walking distance of all local amenities. The hotel and rooms look tired and in need of an upgrade. Parking can be difficult as there is no dedicated parking for the hotel.

This Premier Inn is awful - probably the worst hotel I have ever stayed in in my lifetime. My wife and I stayed here for 2 nights (18/19 April) and regretted every minute. There is no dedicated parking in at this hotel (but we knew this) - the spaces shown in the photo are permanently occupied by the general public. Whilst the public car park is only a 10 minute walk away and we were able to unload our luggage by the hotel before parking, we were not made aware that on the morning of our departure The Causeway was completely given over to a food market and was closed. This meant we had to carry all our luggage by hand round to the car park. Reception was, at best casual, and our room was up 2 flights of a rickety staircase. as for the room itself - what can I say. Dead flies in the ceiling light fitting and a faulty hair drier sum up the bedroom. There was no indication that the hotel provides access to wi-fi and enquiry at reception gained the response "it's down at the moment" There is a notice on the door to the bathroom to suggest the door is kept shut to prevent steam setting off the fire alarm; needless to say the bathroom door cannot be fully closed because the door furniture does match up. Inside the toilet flush was difficult to operate and there was no plug in the the washbasin. The permanent shower is in the low level bath and is not safe for an elderly person to use. There is a sign suggesting the window blind should be lowered but the is no blind, just a curtain hung from curtain wire Shower privacy is provided by another free-hanging curtain. This "hotel" needs closing for a complete refurbishment or failing that, closing completely. We have stayed at many Premier Inns and all have been so much better than Marlow. Premier Inn -shame on you.

We stayed here for 2 nights, found the staff to be very good, room was very clean and had everything we required. The restaurant had a very good selection on the menu. The nearby car park around the corner in pound lane was very reasonable at£6.10 for 24 hours, would not hesitate to stay here again

This is not a typical Premier Inn - it's above a pub with a small number of rooms, creaky floors and a proper bathroom - it has the character Premier Inns usually lack. And right next to the bridge over the Thames - perfect.

We have stayed here before in November 2023 and the stay was good, but this time with my 88 year old mum the heater was faulty and woke us up in the night several times at 24 degrees each night we stayed even when we had apparently switched the heater off. The chap on reception was meant to have fixed it the first day we arrived. I was disappointed we were not offered some kind of recompense due to the lack of sleep on both nights.

We stayed in Room 14 on the top floor. It's located up four flights of winding rickety stairs. The room was clean but in desperate need of re-decoration and modernisation. The generic photos of the rooms on the website are totally misleading. If you study the Google Street scene images of the outside paintwork on the window frames..the inside are no better and possibly worse. It's not a bad hotel and at the price we paid for a Sunday night almost a bargain for the location. But if you like modern comforts you'll be sadly disappointed.
