First visit to Germany. Hotel was perfect for our trip - across from the train station, short walking distance to the center of downtown or mall, & close to restaurants. Staff helped when we needed help. The lack of AC was a minor inconvenience - the evening was cool enough to open the balcony doors. I would stay there again.

We stayed in Goldgronach at the Hotel Meister Bär. We had to get directions over the phone to get into the hotel room. There was no staff, access through a back entrance, the hallways and outside areas were run down, as was the room! Dirty glasses, dusty and musty... According to the wellness and sauna area website, everything is locked and empty! The breakfast was at youth hostel level, cheap sausages, margarine in a bowl... old rolls, etc. The price for the double room is 99 euros!!!!! I can only advise against it!!!!!

Entspricht leider nicht einem 4Sterne Haus nach heutigem Standard. Sehr in die Jahre gekommen. Das Frühstück ist reichhaltig und sehr lecker. Dafür 1 Punkt. Ebenso gibt es einen bewachten Parkplatz. Bademäntel kann man nur an der Rezeption gg Extragebühr erhalten. Die Sauna wird nur auf Nachfrage eingeschaltet, das Dampfbad ist defekt.

Das Hotel liegt zentral zwischen Bahnhof und Fußgängerzone der oberfränkischen Kleinstadt. Parkplätze sind vorhanden. Mein Zimmer war sauber und ordentlich. Ein echter Schreibtisch wäre für den Notebook gut gewesen. Das Frühstück war überaus reichhaltig und tendiert klar zu fünf Sternen, nicht nur zu den vier, auf die das Hotel stolz ist, wie die Zeitungsausschnitte im Aufzug zeigen. Der sehr freundlicheFrühstücksservice war schneller mit dem Kaffee an meinem Tisch als ich mit meinem Essen. Leider ist war mein Zimmer extrem hellhörig. Vom Schnarchen im Nachbarzimmer wurde ich einmal geweckt, genauso wie von den Rufen von einem kleinen Mädchen: "Mama aufstehen!". Nur leider um 4.57. Deshalb nur 3 Punkte.
