The rooms are fully equipped, clean and tidy. The kitchen utensils are also very complete and can be simple to cook. The room is located in the essence of Yangjiao Village, you can go out for a walk any time. Friendly service. Yangjiao Village is so beautiful and worth living here.

Having become accustomed to great customer service throughout the Netherlands our arrival here was marred by the frosty receptionist . We had arrived by bicycle for one night as part of our tour and on checkin we were told that the restaurant was fully booked and asked in a somewhat condescending manner ‘have you not made an advance reservation?’. Having not logged into the hotels WiFi I couldn’t honestly recall. The unhelpful receptionist suggested I speak with her colleague in the restaurant. This I did, he couldn’t find a reservation for us either. However he did say he would have a table free for 8pm so we reserved that. Had the weather been fine we would have ridden back into Lemmer! The hotel is about 2km out of the town. After a shower I discovered we had indeed made a reservation and showed the receptionist the confirmation email from her colleague Chantel. I was then given a story that all guests are sent an email informing them that just because they have made a dinner reservation does not guarantee it! Really? An apology would have been so much more well received! The irony being that ‘Chantel’ informed us that we’d have to dine at six rather than seven due to staff shortages! We then went to the restaurant where it could be seen that there were two tables free which the unhelpful and defensive head waiter informed us were pre-booked. We were seated in what can best be described as the corridor. However, within a few minutes a further table became free and we were invited to take that. The meal itself was OK but honestly you could pay less for better food (and service) elsewhere. By the time we had finished our meal the two “Reserved” tables still remained unoccupied. Our room was fine but how this hotel can claim to be 4* is beyond me. We certainly won’t be back.

The hotel is located in the northern part of the Netherlands. There are relatively few Chinese people. The hotel is a pure business hotel. Breakfast is 6:30-11:00, but some business people go to the restaurant to talk about things at 9:00. It is busy during the day and the restaurant is great at night. The holiday home is ideally located in the waters of Giethoorn. The car stops at the parking lot outside the hotel and walks 200 meters past the bridge to the resort. When we arrived, it was already 7 o'clock. We contacted the owner in advance and added 25 Euros to wait for us. The owner is a straightforward old man, and people are not bad. There is one house per household, which can accommodate 4 people. There is a kitchen utensils for cooking. You can bring your own food for cooking. There are also many restaurants and bars on the street outside the hotel. It is very convenient. The scenery in the resort is invincible. It is recommended to stay for 2 days, and there are many places to play. One day is really not fun. Be sure to clean the kitchen utensils before you check out. Finally, I reminded Chinese tourists who went to Yangjiao Village to play. In the scenic area, someone pretending to be a policeman to drive a car. The people in the back seat pulled down the window and took out the police card to see your passport. Don’t ignore them, myself. I ignored them and they left, but I saw a pair of Chinese young people grabbing bags from them. They stared at the Chinese and they must pay attention!

Generally speaking I enjoyed my stay at the hotel. Location is good close to rhe station and the park and the city center. Breakfast was excellent in a nice spacious dining rooms + veranda. Staff was correct and helpful at most times. Room was OK in size. Most my comments relate to the room: 1. No air conditioning, the small cooler they provide is not effective enough. 2. No drawers and shelves to put the cloths only hanging...not practical not satisfying when staying for a week duration. 3. No basic vanity kit nor conditioner in the bathroom...really not suited for a 4 stars hotel. I had to buy this stuff. Can't understand this kind of stupid negligence (I did ask in reception for conditioner and they confirmed they don't provide it....). 4. Poor TV offer of channels....not so critical but still .... 5. Room service shuts down very early in the evening so what's the point of it?

Wonderfully welcoming staff. Relaxed ambience throughout the property. Elegant dining rooms. Large comfortable bedroom with good amenities in the room. Very nice evening meal (for a separate price) and an enjoyable breakfast (included in the price). Excellent value for money (in the week). No lifts though so if you have big suitcases, this could be a problem (that said, the staff helped us up with our light bags). The room we had had steps down into the room which made it difficult getting out as you had to step back down to pull the door inwards. Would definitely like to come and stay at this property again.

After a bike trip from Lelystad to Steenwijk I had a room in this hotel. Wonderful room very good bed, beautiful sanitary and a spacious breakfast enough. The next day after a bike trip in the surroundings, I could still dress in this hotel. Good and good staff.
