This place was dirt and run down! From the time I stepped off the elevator to the when I opened the room door! The walls were all chipped and cracked, the floor was dirty and there was dirt and left over food in the corners and window sills! Plus I later found out that the hotel is known to have a bad case of bed bugs! DO NOT STAY HERE!

simple, cheaper-end motel. pet friendly with a $15/pet charge. nothing too fancy, smaller room, but clean, nice staff and ok continental breakfast. fridge and microwave in the room. was able to get wi-fi on many devices at the same time, which was nice
Response from Property: thank you for your feedback i will share it with my staff

I stayed in this facility with my husband in August, 2022. Upon registering, we were given a key card and proceeded to the room. The door was slightly open, the room had not been cleaned nor bed made. It was 5 pm. The desk clerk apologized and gave us another key card. This room, although marked no smoking, reeked of smoke. Upon entering, the bed was made, but the toilet bowl was covered with pieces of fecal matter. The seat appeared "clean". The television did not work. The room was shabby. THe cost was $94 including the room taxes. We stayed, but did not feel comfortable or happy about the setting. I would not recommend this hotel.

2 night stay in July 2022 for baseball tourney at Prospect Meadows. Good location, 10-12 minutes from fields. Very bare bones no thrill hotel. Breakfast is not great, our particular room had couch and bed and was a suite. It had an island dividing the room areas that had just a sink. There was an obvious history of leaking water as the room smelled strongly of a wet basement. There were no other rooms available. We made do with it, but it was very noticeable. The front desk staff were very nice and helpful. They responded well to people who complained/questioned the breakfast offerings and were quick to go find more items. No pool which might make a difference for younger kids.

The hotel is dirty, musty, moldy. & the older gentleman at the desk is completely rude. I fell in their entry and hurt myself and no one cared. They acted put out when I asked for an accident report. Do not stay here unless you have nothing else. The only bright side was we were with our friends and they did put us next to each other

This hotel should be burned down. It immediately smelled like cigarette smoke upon entry to the lobby. I thought it was weird the clerk told us to call her if we needed housekeeping. The room itself was not clean, although the sheets did smell like bleach. I wiped down the bathroom sink and end table with disinfectant wipes. The bath tub had long hair in it. I found toe nail clippings, a crushed Oreo cookie and a used ear swab on the floor. The room also smelled like cigarette smoke. The door had a no smoking sign on it. I’m guessing homeless shelters are cleaner than this place was. This hotel was way too expensive for how dirty it was. I was seriously considering sleeping in my car. Bottom line, DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL!!!!!

room was clean, plenty of hot water and water pressure was good, employees friendly and helpful. Only problem was with another guest who was pushing me to finish using the luggage cart because they only had one. He tried to follow me to my car I had to tell him not to, I told him I would bring the cart back when I was finished.

On the outskirts of town. We stayed in the queen suite. It was roomy. Cleanliness was okay. Water pressure could have been stronger. This was a last minute stay and we needed two rooms. For that, the stay was perfect. My dog got to stay too, she was happy. In a pinch I would stay again. We received what we expected with the price we paid

Checking in was a breeze, she was very friendly and I got the exact room and location I requested. The room was really rundown. There were stains, hairs, rust and wood scratches everywhere. The deadbolt on the door didn’t work so I had to put the chair propped up against it to be safe. I like proximity to the location I was going and the restaurants in the area.

The staff was very helpful, my husband has mobility issues and they made sure that we had the right accommodations. They also had no issues with the fact we had to bring our dog at the last minute. The hotel has a little maintenance but nothing that would deter me from staying there again. Our room was clean, and the property was in pretty good shape.

Microtel Inn & Suites is located in an area with multiple restaurants and easy access to Marion and Cedar Rapids. We enjoyed our stay and appreciated their willingness to allow us to check in early. They were very busy, but made time to get to our needs.

Hotel was very clean. Beds comfortable. Great price for an overnight stay. Might want a more spacious room for an extended stay. Staff was very friendly and responsive to needs. Hotel should consider adding anti slip devices to the bath tubs.

I wish zero stars was an option. Normally I would stay at the Marriott or a similar hotel but we decided to bite the bullet because of the decent reviews and the 6+ star rating. When I walked in I could immediately tell that this hotel is not cleaned often.. I couldn’t tell if it was cigarette smell or just musty mold smell. We got checked in and lugged all of our stuff up the tiny elevator with our 2 month old baby only to be approached by a person stating that the room we were trying to get into was theirs. After returning down to the lobby we got our actual room number. When we arrived at our room it was HOT and musty. The refrigerator did not get cold enough for my breast milk and the bathroom sink water was coming out like it hadn’t been used in 20 years. You get 2 throw size pillows and 1 regular size pillow and the bathroom walls are very thin you can hear what is going on in the room next to you. We decided to check out and go to the Marriott down the road. Also, my in-laws were also staying at this hotel and they arrived around 4:00pm and their room was not ready - let me remind you that check in starts at 3:00pm. Overall I did not feel like this was a safe or clean environment for myself and especially my baby.
