Inn at Venice Beach

Venice Beach
The hotel is very close to Venice beach, about a five-minute walk. We were given a south-facing room with a balcony and a view of the sea. Venice beach is very lively. There are 5 stores within 100 meters of the shops. It is still a bit scary to go shopping at night.
Foghorn Harbor Inn

My boyfriend and I just stayed at Foghorn Harbor Inn in Marina Del Rey, and it was awesome! The staff gave such a warm welcome, and the room had this killer view of the marina – felt like pure luxury. They don't have a restaurant, pool, or gym, but who needs it? The service was great, especially from the desk guy who hooked us up with local tips that made our visit even better. What's even cooler is that their side door comes out straight to the beach! The place is in a great spot for exploring the marina, with cool walks and plenty of dining options nearby. Seems like the hotel got a facelift or new management, and it totally shows – in a good way. Foghorn is perfect if you and your significant other want a laid-back and comfy stay with direct beach access in this cool spot.
Jamaica Bay Inn Marina Del Rey, Tapestry Collection by Hilton

Stayed here for 1 night after landing in LA from the U.K. Wanted to stay somewhere close to airport. Room was as expected. Very large, clean, bit tired but okay. Noisy aircon unit and fridge which didn’t bother us too much as only a one night stay. Great location, right on the beach, 5 min walk to Cheesecake Factory for dinner. Had pancake and parking deal which was good value. Offered free parking and breakfast, which was actually a $25 credit per person for breakfast/brunch menu which runs from 7am-3pm, so that was useful. Hate that Hilton always takes days/weeks to credit back the $50 room deposit that they take from you on arrival! Overall a good stay and would stay again, but just for one night after a flight into LA.

Venice Beach
I have stayed at this hotel four times and really enjoy it. The location is great. Walking distance from Venice Beach and close enough to the airport to be considered on a layover. The restaurant has good food and the marina setting is quite nice. It is a new hotel, so rooms are still in good shape. I had a great view with a balcony using an upgrade once, and that added some ambiance. Finally, the gym is not bad. That said, I am noticing that the price has increased quite a bit to now be as much or more than the near by Marriott and (crazy as it seems) only $50 per night different than the Ritz Carlton. I really can't imagine. If the price is down between $200-$300 per night, that is a good deal but otherwise shop around.

Venice Beach
The hotel is not far from the beach, there is no breakfast, there are slides for children playing downstairs, there is a small pier, but the room we lived did not have a bathtub, the children's room was dirty, the breakfast was ordered. The bath water was small. Hotel rooms have partial sea views.
The Kinney - Venice Beach

Venice Beach
This cute hotel is 7 blocks from the Venice Beach Pier. The beach is busy : lots of action from the un housed to the flamboyant rollerbladers. But 7 blocks away at the Kinney you’ll find a relaxed ambiance worlds away from the congestion of the beach scene. My room was spacious, clean and quiet. The bathroom was well equipped, the bed/ bedding deluxe and the blackout shades top performers. I brought my own bike, the Kinney does charge for use of theirs, and had a fabulous ride on the bike trail that goes from Will Rogers to Torrance. I highly recommend dining at NUEVO. Innovative menu and affordable. I also had a satisfying meal at Wonky Wok. I found street parking, Kinney does charge for parking, really close by- safe neighborhood. The staff were welcoming and courteous. I really loved my stay- I could live at the Kinney!
