"An old local four-star hotel, low-key and pragmatic, with not luxurious facilities, but much better hygiene and service than many five-star hotels. If you are staying for one or two nights during a layover, it is the best choice. The location is very good, close to the airport but not in the noisy area of the airport. The yacht club is just downstairs from the hotel, quiet and beautiful, cost-effective. There are supermarkets and restaurants nearby, which is very convenient. I will choose here again next time I transit!"
"Stayed for 8 nights on this trip, business + family trip. The overall experience is very good.
Transportation: Very convenient, close to Santa Monica Pier and Venice Bay.
Facilities: Complete, there is also a hotel-exclusive toilet outside, you can enter from the side door with a door card. The food in the sidebeach resturant is very good, especially the breakfast is very good, there are many choices, the quantity is large, except that it is a little expensive, there is nothing wrong.
Environment: There is a bay next to it, and the scenery is beautiful.
Service: The front desk guy is very good. He took the initiative to upgrade the sea view room to apologize for checking in a little late, which should be worth thirty dollars a night.
Features: Occasionally encountered resident singing at night, very romantic."
"The Hotel is old but well preserved and it is very well located. It's supously alowed to smoke (everything) inside the hotel, what is highly unpleasant for non smokers.
Although the service is friendly, it's poor, in our experience we had no body towels in the room and after I request it, I still had to wait a couple of hours to receive the towells which were in the laundry. "
"Spacious room with modern furniture and excellent bed. The bungalows have a terrace in the communal area, with little sense of privacy. Inside the room they could put a table or armchairs to make a communal area, apart from the desk. Tiny pool. We didn't have room service in 3 nights that we stayed, they made up for it with breakfast, and they give you clean towels or extra snacks, if you ask for them, but it left us with a taste of poor service and I would have preferred not to have to complain about anything. They have private parking ($32 a day), and right next to the hotel there is a public one ($7 a day), which the Americans use without hesitation; we also used it, and we didn't have any incidents, the area seems safe. In conclusion: it is a very good hotel, but we didn't find the details in the furniture or the services that make it more welcoming."
"Kinney still feels like a dressed up concrete block, but has an awesome location close to the heart of Venice. Although it's not one of the spots right on the beach, those hotels are really resting on their laurels and don't operate correctly. Kinney staff are professional and actually do their jobs, you get less ”crazies” and it is extremely clean especially for Venice standards. My only complaint is that the hours of the gym seem arbitrary when it could be open 24/7. Because I only stayed for one night and checked in late, I wasn't able to get a workout in."
"The hotel is not far from the beach, there is no breakfast, there are slides for children playing downstairs, there is a small pier, but the room we lived did not have a bathtub, the children's room was dirty, the breakfast was ordered. The bath water was small. Hotel rooms have partial sea views."
"The hotel is very beautiful, the sanitation is very clean, the service staff is also very enthusiastic, it is the best choice for business trips. The surrounding environment is also very beautiful, the transportation is convenient, it is worth recommending! ! ! !"
"Good value. The good: mini fridge, microwave , AC, good hot water , fairly comfy bed and fairly fluffy towels. Coffee maker made very watery coffee (glad we brought our plastic filter drip stuff and better ground coffee. Room away from street surprisingly quiet. . Looks clean, but both rooms had a faint funny smell (like urine miixed w cleaning product.) my husband and adult daughter couldn’t smell it but I have a super nose.)"
"Good location. View from hotel is great. Do note there is a destination fee of USD10 per accomodation per night. This is excluded from the hotel accommodation which have to be paid."
