Quaint and historic small convent of around 500 years old, converted into a hostelry in ancient Marialva. A few rooms only, all with private bathrooms and each one has their own front door out into a sloping quiet cobbled street. Although all furnishings are new, our room, all things considered, was not very comfortable. A noisy metal bedstead. Blankets and sheets instead of a modern light duvet and only a tiny window which meant light had to be on all the time. New bathroom with bath and shower but all fittings low and not meant for tall people. Very friendly owner who takes all the time for you and who provides a very good continental breakfast in the morning. Easy parking.
