Beautiful location, helpful staff, great restaurant. This was by far the best hotel I stayed at during my bicycle trip down the Danube. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The restaurant was delicious and lovely, located in a grove of chestnut trees. I would definitely stay here again, given the opportunity.

Wish we had had one more day - we stopped here overnight on a bike trip and it was such a wonderful surprise! The pool on the 5th floor and the spa were unbelievable, with beds, views, swings, various rooms (sauna, red light, steam room, etc.) and and incredible indoor-outdoor pool with views in every direction. To think I almost didn’t go up to the pool! I could have spent at least another day here just taking a break from the go-go-go. If I were to book this trip again, I would request an extra night here.

Our family stayed overnight at Hotel Schachner during our bike trip along the Danube. Although we felt a little out of place in this elegant hotel we enjoyed our stay here. Luckily the hotel has a bike shuttle that will pick you up at the bottom of the hill-- otherwise we would not have made it!!! Our room was very spacious, comfortable, and quiet. We had a nice view of the church spires and the family of kestrels that were roosting there. We did not eat dinner at the hotel since they had only one, overpriced vegetarian option. Instead we ate at the nearby Hotel Rose, which had an amazing "Asia bowl" and stunning terrace views. However, the breakfast was excellent, with every option anyone could want-- honey dripping from the honeycomb, a juice bar where you can make your own fresh juices, all types of milks, desserts... It was the most impressive buffet we had during our travels through Austria. Maria Taferl is a cute little village high on a hill with 360° views. We enjoyed exploring the church and grounds in the evening when most tourists were gone. The views are amazing and you feel transported to a different time and place staying here.

It's always nice to come to the Hotel Schachner! I enjoy the family atmosphere, the beautiful spa area with a fantastic view, the wonderful breakfast buffet and the excellent evening menu!

Tolle Aussicht, nettes Personal, gutes Essen , durch die Day Spa Gäste war Restaurant und Spa leider überladen dazu kommt Seminarbetrieb. Parkplätze eher knapp. Highlight ist sicher der Spa Bereich und die Skybar. Es gibt beim Abendessen ausreichend Auswahl. Preis / Leistung passt für mich aber nicht. 1000.- für 2 Nächte mit Aussicht ist überzogen

Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und bemüht alle Wünsche zu erfüllen. Das Abendessen war sehr gut. Unser Tisch war mit einem schönen Ausblick auf die Donau. Das Frühstückbuffet ist sehr umfangreich und es ist für jeden Geschmack etwas dabei. Die Zimmer sind ansprechend ausgestattet und komfortabel.

Dayspa mit Frühstück - eine tolles Geschenk! Reichhaltiges Frühstück ab 7:00 mit frisch zubereiteten Eigerichten, knusprigem Gebäck und prickelnden Getränken. Alles dabei von süß bis herzhaft. Zum Spa:,modern und optisch ansprechend gestaltet. Infinitypool mit Blick auf die Donau sowie die Basilika Maria Taferl. Wasser um 1-2 Grad wärmer und es wäre perfekt. Toller Saunabereich, chillige Liegen, Erfrischungen, super Skylounge mit leckeren Speisen und aufmerksamen Service. Bademäntel und Badetücher dabei. Alles in allem ein großartiger und entspannter Tag.

Das Schachner ist ein wunderschönes Haus, das im Grunde aus zwei Hotels (Park und Platz) besteht. Wer zum ersten Mal kommt, tut sich eventuell anfangs ein bisschen schwer, sich zurechtzufinden. Auch, weil relativ wenig Parkplätze vorhanden sind, und man etwas Glück haben muss einen zu ergattern. Wenn man dann aber “angekommen” ist, ist man beim Schachner rundum gut aufgehoben. Die Zimmer sind sehr schön und auch die Badezimmer auf dem neuesten Stand. Sehr bequeme Betten, in denen man herrlich schläft und manche Zimmer verfügen über einen sensationellen Weitblick über die Donau. Der SPA-Bereich ist sehr hochwertig und stylisch. Alle Liegen sind von sehr hoher Qualität und in großem Ausmaß vorhanden. Der Infintiy-Pool am Dach ist traumhaft und der Blick auf die Kirche und die Donau unvergleichbar. Wer es mal etwas ruhiger haben möchte, kann auch zum großen Garten-Pool wechseln. Auch die Kulinarik kann sich sehen und schmecken lassen. Sehr gute Abendmenüs (6 Gänge) und eine vielfältige Weinauswahl. Auch die Sky-Bar bietet einen tollen Blick und ein sehr hochwertiges und stylisches Ambiente. Alle Mitarbeiter sind super freundlich und haben immer ein Lächeln auf den Lippen. Auch hier fühlt man sich rundum wohl und sehr gut aufgehoben. Einzig ein wenig gestört hat uns, dass wenn man Anreisetag etwas früher in den SPA will oder am Abreisetag diesen Bereich noch etwas genießen will, überall Aufpreise zu bezahlen sind. Da ist man gleich mal auf zusätzlichen 100 Euro für zwei Personen, wenn man alles nützt. Die Preise für Zimmer & Co sind nicht ganz günstig, aber jederzeit gerechtfertigt. Preis Leistung passt perfekt. Man könnte aber bei einer kleinen Erweiterung der Benützungszeiten eine Spur großzügiger sein. Uns hat es auf alle Fälle super gut gefallen. Eine klare Empfehlung. Wir kommen wieder.
