The Beach

Booked here for one night for our anniversary. First impressions the room looked OK.But to say what we paid it wasn't a room I'd expect in a luxury hotel.Lots of stained walls and we had no sleep. Little tilt blinds that didn't block the light. So awake at just before 4.00am in the morning. Tried to block light with towels.That didn't work. Quilt was far yo heavy in weight for this time of year.Bathroom was beautiful. Breakfast was fine.Just spoilt our anniversary by no sleep.

Fantastic hotel. We loved staying here from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. Everyone so polite and friendly and The Suite we were upgraded to was brilliant. One very slight bit of feedback was the 10am checkout. We were booked for 9am breakfast, then it was a massive rush to get out of the room by 10am. Still a five stars though.

Lovely hotel. Very clean. Staff very welcoming. Breakfast was superb, served by the most welcoming and friendly waitress we have ever met. Really started the day off with a smile. Nothing was too much trouble, very bright and warming start to the day .

Outstanding luxury hotel overlooking the beach. Room with balcony was a real luxury. Bathroom of the highest quality. Great choice for breakfast and cooked to order. If you’re looking for a luxury hotel on north Cornwall coast, look no further.

I would like to say this is a lovely place to stay, we stayed in an apartment, it was clean tidy and very well presented, the hotel staff were pleasant and more than helpful. My only complaint would be the restaurant attached, we have stayed here twice now, the first time we booked a table through the hotel in the restaurant the meal was very pleasant and the staff were friendly and polite. It brings me no pleasure to write this but our visit this time I can only class as awful. The food we had the chance to eat was lovely it’s just a shame that after booking a table for four people, we were given one side table big enough for one plate to eat four meals from. This I’m afraid ended in disaster when the plates went everywhere as there was only room for a quarter each plate on the tiny table. To add insult to injury when I approached the bar to explain I was handed napkins to clean up! Not help not oh I’m sorry sir, nothing. I cleared the mess and took the scooped up food to the bar explaining again what had happened and why and still nothing. My family and I were astounded when the young waitress came over and asked if everything was ok with our meals. I began with, no not really, before I could finish she replied I’m sorry about that and walked away. By this time to of my family decided they had had enough and left to go back to the room hungry. With that the waiter came over with two soft drinks for the two people that had left and said these are on the house! By this time I was sure this was a wind up and I was in some sort of reality show. Sadly not we decided to leave and I went to settle my bill. I explained for the 3 time before paying and was told I’m sorry you did not enjoy it hope it will be better next time and given the full bill with the option of a gratitude payment. This has ruined our stay and will probably stop us from booking at either place again!

We stayed for two nights in The Suite and it was perfect! The staff were so welcoming from the minute we arrived, communication with Bridget and Jo was great. The room itself was amazing. Split over two floors and immaculate and modern. The hotel overlooks the beach and is a 5 minute walk into the town. I'd definitely recommend staying here

We had an amazing time here during the Easter holidays for our anniversary. My partner proposed during our stay here and the hotel made the whole trip a luxury and memorable experience. The staff go out of their way to provide everything you could possibly want and take any opportunity to go the extra mile for you. I am also vegan and the breakfast was amazing. Thank you so much!

The beach hotel is exactly that, a hotel right beside the beach. Like many hotels in Cornwall there is limited if any car parking - but try down the front of the hotel. We were lucky. Room was good and comfortable. It took me a while to remember that Cornish places often have lower beams. Great breakfast

Lovely views from the hotel. Friendly staff in the bar and restaurant. Reception staff also helpful. We are in the dining room for dinner and we all had a great meal, especially the lamb. Great breakfast too. Room nice and spacious- there aren’t many places where you can lie in bed and see the sea! Brilliant walk in shower too
