Rundum bin ich zufrieden. Zimmer war schön ruhig. Das Welcome MR ist eine gute Adresse für die Kombination Arbeit, Sightseeeing und Entspannung. Ganz froßes Plus- die Lage des Hotels!!!!!

Great location, just minutes away from the old town (aldstadt) area, across the road & up in a lift. Friendly & helpful staff - needed a fan as the room was hot & they provided it. Room good size - we booked the larger room. Comfy beds - 2 separate mattress & duvet into one large bed. TV & coffee maker. Toiletries in bathroom. Excellent buffet breakfast with good choice of hot & cold food. Car parking under hotel - paid parking but lots of space

I was expecting a very average hotel based on reviews but we were very happy with the Welcome Hotel. The receptionists were friendly, the hotel reception was very nice, the breakfast buffet was very tasty and had premium items like jams, teas, etc. the restaurant was beautiful, esp the seats outside. The location of the hotel is unbeatable, with a parking just below the hotel (expensive at 15 euros a day, pay at the reception to pay a cheaper rate), and the elevator to Marburg upper town (old town) right opposite. Marktplatz is 2 mins away. The Junior suite was perfect for our family of 3: huge, with two separate sections. The sofa cum bed was quite hard, but our bed was comfy and the room had a walk in closet and coffee machine! The room was very modern. I had read many reviews about the AC not being effective but it was excellent. During the heat wave, we were very cozy in our perfect temperature room. I have only compliments for this place!

Hotel is 1 mile from Bahnhof on bus line. Across,the street is an elevator that takes you up 5 floors to the Altstadt center. Close to walkway along river Lahn. Staff was helpful with Restaurant and transport knowledge. Rooms are plain, but decent size, clean and comfortable. Our room was on inner courtyard, quiet, especially when we had AC running. In room coffee maker a plus. Shower was a bit tight, lights were dim. Wi-Fi worked well. Breakfast had plenty of choices and well prepared. Filterkaffee on each table and other coffee or tea options available.

Good and centrally located business hotel with a rich breakfast buffet. The hotel is located opposite the elevator to the historic upper town. So ideally located for a little trip after work. The rooms are clean and it is very quiet at the back. The staff is very friendly and helpful. So everything is fine.

It's a bit difficult to rate. On the one hand, we were here in the summer and were very impressed. On the other hand, we were later rather disappointed. The hotel is very centrally located in Marburg, so that most destinations in MR can be reached on foot. Good! Parking is a real problem in MR. Bad! It's not the hotel's fault. Rooms are big enough with air conditioning, shower and in good condition. Good! Rooms are big enough under the roof (it's still summer!!!) without functioning air conditioning and without shower. Bad!! The breakfast is beyond reproach, as is the behavior of the staff. There is nothing to criticize here. I would give it half a star, but 4 is simply too much, as the price for an overnight stay isn't exactly cheap.

We had booked a deluxe room (garden side) for one night. The room and bathroom were very spacious. Only the shower was quite small. Otherwise, the room has good and tasteful furnishings. We slept very well in the beds. It was nice that our room had a door to the green roof above the restaurant. There were about 2.5 m² of patio tiles there, so that we could drink our night-time wine there in the evening. The breakfast buffet left nothing to be desired: various types of cheese and cold cuts, fresh fruit and vegetables, freshly brewed coffee or espresso and the like from the machine. There were various types of bread and rolls. Directly opposite the hotel is one of the two elevators to the upper town. This means you can get to the upper town with its historic houses in no time. There is an underground car park below the hotel, but it is not part of it. As a hotel guest, however, you get special rates. We can highly recommend this beautiful hotel for a stay in Marburg!
