Not the greatest time of year to do lot's of water stuff. Booked several sunset cruises and snorkeling trips but they were canceled at the last minute for not enough participation.

Very dissatisfied, I will not stay here again! There are biting bugs crawling in the room, there are dead bugs in the air conditioner, and there is a bad smell when the air conditioner is turned on, disgusting! I don't recommend you to choose this hotel, the price-performance ratio is not worth it!

This is a great location with a short bike trip to the 7-mile bridge. This is my second time staying here and both times the room was super cold. I would recommend bringing warm jammies to sleep in and extra blankets if you can. The shower in the Loggerhead only runs cold water so be prepared. Other than that, it's a good stay for the price.

Home away from home
We apways enjoy our stay in Marathon. Captain Pip was a very nice place. Conveniently located to all our fishing spots. Room was spacious n clean. Bed was very comfortable! One thing that was a negative for us n im sure to others ive read in the reviews is how thin the walls r. We can hear EVERY thing next door. Luckily our neighbor wasnt loud but we can still hear them talking. Other than that, we love the place

We really enjoyed our stay! Our apartment was spacious and we loved being at the canal to watch the boats come in and out! We did two of the boat tours, which we highly recommend, the island tour and the reef tour. We had Captain Candace and first mate Corey for both. They were very knowledgeable on the area and fun! Our stay was relaxing and when we were hungry and didn’t feel like cooking we walked to Porkies! Excellent food and service! Everything that you could want to do is right there. We took advantage of the free kayaks and saw dolphins on our voyage. It’s a great place and not like your typical resorts that become overwhelming! Loved it!

Second time staying and it did not disappoint. The rooms are old but very clean. Rented a boat through them and staff was great. Great nearby restaurant's.

This property was chosen for its location, we wanted to be closed to the seven mile bridge and Pigeon Key so that we could ride bikes to the Key and enjoy the surroundings. The room was clean and close to restaurants and offered both snorkeling trips and water craft tours. The property had bikes available and we took those for our ride over the old bridge to Pigeon Key. Carlos was amazing he helped us with our bikes and made sure everything was in great shape for our ride was able to give us information on how long it would take round trip also gave us a short history of the area. He made the stay even better. I would recommend Porky’s the food was great and the service was also great. The mini split was very loud and we ending up sleeping with ear plugs, upon check out we notified staff of the problem and suggested that someone take a look at the system.

Hurray for Captain Pips!
Our family of four stayed one night at Captain Pips in Marathon. Like many rooms in the Florida Keys, the units are older but have been renovated. Our unit was very comfortable and spacious. The staff sends messages about how to find the property and the check in procedures, and these were extremely helpful.
The property provides several amenities on site. We had access to bicycles that we used to bike the old 7 mile bridge. Our sons enjoyed the jet skis and kayaks. Since the property is located at a marina, there were multiple options for getting out on the water. The people that work on site that we interacted with were very service oriented. The units are a short walk to several restaurants too. We really enjoyed our stay!
