Muthu Keekorok Lodge, Maasai Mara, Narok

Beautiful Views, the pool area was nice and relaxing. The Bar area by the Hippo pool was great! Imagine a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere while having a drink watching hippos in your back yard, Awesome! Staff was extremely nice, helpful and friendly also.

Had a wonderful 3 nights at the lodge as part of our "bucket list" holiday. In summary, and starting with the positives 1. Location, excellent, very convenient for the airstrip and lots of animals to see within minutes of the lodge 2. Staff, everyone was so kind and helpful and they did everything to make the stay memorable. Special mention to Judy and the two young waitors that looked after us (sorry can't remember their names) 3. Lodge layout, very open and we had lots of animals wondering about 4. hippo pond, amazing to have this on the edge of the lodge, but be aware the smell is everything you would expect from hippos :-) 5. Drives, our guide Simon was absolutely brilliant. He definitely went above and beyond to make sure we had amazing views of the animals, making sure we bagged the "big 5" including the illusive rhino Some areas for improvement if the lodge wants to be considered a 5 star location, 1. The rooms need a refurb, we stayed in a premium room and some fitting etc didn't work 2. The pool area is in need of an upgrade and all loungers need replaced 3. Food, although it was tasty the buffet needs to provide a more diverse choice to cater for the international guests. So, all in all we had a great time but not sure how long the lodge will retain its appeal without investment

Holiday of a lifetime made perfect by the lodge. Our driver Simon was amazing, very patient and knowledgeable, went above and beyond to create a real adventure and see all of the big five! All staff from welcome party, domestic, reception, security, all bars and the restaurant were friendly and efficient and always very helpful. A special thanks to Judy in the restaurant for her happy greetings and help every day. The hot air balloon ride was fantastic and the champagne breakfast in the bush afterwards put on by the hotel was amazing. Only downside is that the hotel cannot exchange money so need plenty of dollars as cash is needed for booking village trip and tips.

It's my life time experience, we really enjoyed their hospitality and warm welcome. All staff is helping , food was good , I got some muscle ache and hotel nursing staff , wilder come in my and did physical examination , reasure me you are in safe hands , she is highly professional and maintain high standards of care . Excellent customer seevice. Great services from Wilder tge doctor on site. Really caring. The food was excellent and also the staff is really caring especially the escorts between 7.00pm and 6.00am were excellent. We also had a visit at the hippo bar. Great view of the hippps.

An oasis in the midst of nowhere, and you get a feeling of home away from home. We were a group of 15 from all over the world and fully enjoyed our stay. The hotel was excellent with the Hippo bar in front of the Hippo pool - a great place to enjoy your afternoon with a couple of excellent beers from all parts of the world. The food was awesome and the service looked as if it was specially curated for us by Mr Manish Sharma the manager. The food was made for every palate on earth - be it Indian Kadhai paneer, daal, poori-sabzi or aloo paratha or pakodas, chinese, Irish stew or some lovely dessert. The hotel had some lovely Chilean wines and the cocktail Dawa was a great hit amongst us. Mr Manish we were overwhelmed by the hospitality of all the staff of the hotel and specially the service rendered by you tirelessly for comfort of the guests. The thrill of animals roaming in the night added a new dimension and the hotel was extra vigilant with guards always accompanying guests after sunset till full sunrise. It was great fun to watch hippopotamus roaming at night on the lawns and security keeping vigil throughout the night. Muthu Keekorok lodge is an experience which one should have if one is doing a Kenyan Safari. Our four day stay was really wonderful. The Masai artisans with their wares gave the lodge residents a truly ethnic feel.
