The environment is very serene and a welcome departure from the hustle and bustle of Nairobi. The accommodation was top notch. The rooms are well designed with whole glass wall and door( my description is not doing it any justice you have to come and see for yourself) Hot showers, clean beddings The team ( I interacted with Cephus and Nashpal) led by James were professional and and always ready to help. They ensured we were comfortable and never hungry. The bar is well stocked with liquor beers and cigarettes The food was fresh and made to my liking. If you are going for the game drive make sure to have the hotels lunch box. There was internet connectivity at the main sitting area and was able to reply to some emails while my Mrs did her assignments There is a bonfire every evening next to the bar and you can warm yourself there with a glass of whiskey They play soft relaxing house EDM music in the evening. There are Maasai warriors around the camp to escort you to and from your room as the resort shares a boundary with the park All in all my stay here was marvellous and I would recommend it to everyone. I plan on coming back and staying much longer. Till next time До свидания

We had a fantastic 3 night stay here. The views from the tents and the bar / restaurant area were beautiful, especially of the sunset. The tents are well equipped with good showers and comfy beds, and you get a great view through the glass front. The food was great too and tasted very fresh. But the best part was the staff - every single member of staff was really friendly and welcoming and ensured we had a great time. This was definitely the best place we stayed in Kenya! :)

The camped tents and the place is breath taking. You really feel like you are staying in the park as you can spot zeebras, girrafes and a masai guard said that he saw an elephant early in the morning not too far. The staff will go above and beyond in addressing your needs. Additionally, they offer a warm welcome and the food was excellent. They use vegetables grown from their garden. Everything was super clean.

I stayed in Simba Oryx by accident: my trip operator forgot to book me into my original hotel, and I was rebooked here at the last minute. But I was ultimately extremely happy about the mix-up! Simba Oryx is a FANTASTIC hotel! The staff welcomed me warmly as if I was always meant to stay here. They gave me an extremely large, comfortable and well-equipped room with three beds, a large bathroom, closet, and hot water shower. Simba Oryx is also one of the few lodges inside the Masai Mara park; it is not fenced so you often see zebras and wallabies inside the property. They are breathtaking. And don’t worry about carnivores: the Masai patrol the property 24/7 and escort you everywhere. The hotel also built in a red light system that deters predators from coming in. Your room door is all made of glass so you will see the beautiful sunset in the savannah planes! Food is also great as is the massage parlour (also seems to work round the clock!) I will be staying in Simba Oryx again upon returning to Kenya.

James, the manager stepped in after I had some difficulty with the tour operator finalising my 2 night booking. I was at least able to stay the one night. Having stayed in the budget accommodations in the area on a previous trip, this is a very reasonably priced mid range option. The location is amazing, it is literally on the border of the park, but with no fencing, the animals can wonder in and out of the camp site. There were zebra and giraffe around my tent. In addition the sound of the nearby village are muted and you fall asleep to the sounds of yipping hyenas. The tent itself is spacious with a large bathroom and dressing area and the glass facade allows an immersive experience. The consistent supply of hot water is a luxury when compared to some of the other camps. Meals are ample of good quality. The best part of the stay was the incredibly friendly and helpful staff, special mention of James and Joel. I wish I had stayed longer

The Simba Oryx team will become your family. They are amazing! All of them are special. Joel, Samuel and Tom Ole. These three work so hard to make feel comfortable and have fun. We have stayed here 4 times now that is how much we love it! We have been to 4 other “5 star” places in Masi Mara and this place beats them all. Besides the staff, food is excellent. Some in our group are vegan and gluten free, and they were able to enjoy full meals with us too. The rooms are always very clean. They are spacious with a separate walk in shower and toilet area. The bathroom and shower are all cement walls and floors. The front is all glass with beautiful views. Almost always you have animals visit at night. The roof and side walls of sleeping area are canvas. The beds are comfortable especially for East Africa. Hot water and elect. Are solar so they are limited, but we have never run out of either. We can’t say enough good things, so just try it and come be a part on the Simba Oryx family!

This place is Magical. Given a chance I would come here every often. The staff are so good and kind . I want to give a great shout out to Joel who ensure I had everything I needed during my stay. I spotted zebras outside my tent during day and at night. The camp is not fenced , but the Masai Guards made us feel safe during all our stay, they patrol the camp both day and night 24/7 security present . This place is totally heavenly. I’d urge everyone to pick this place totally therapeutic . And also not to mention their food is very fresh , big up to the chef Dorcas for a job well done. Also the place has ten tents therefore not so crowded making it so relaxing and chilled , I totally loved my stay here.

This was one of the many highlights of my trip to East Africa through Tanzania, Uganda, and Kenya. The camp is cosy and very beautiful, best part is waking up to the views through the glass doors. If you are lucky see some zebras across, like living in the wild. A true dream for me and my wife. The Maasai people are very unique, just as I had imagined and the camp welcomes you with a dance from them. I really enjoyed their beautiful culture and company. The staff are so warm and helpful, especially the manager who works even late to ensure we could go about our post-game activities even with issues of electricity. We were tired from the game drive but that hospitality and concern made the experience at the camp worth it. My wife keeps talking about the chef's food so I guess I must be back with the kids because I still can't get enough of the magic of Maasai Mara.
