Maybe the most beautiful hotel I have ever stayed in when it comes to the exterior and sone of the interior... All very authentic. The room was comfertavle and breakfast was great, let alone the breakfast dinning area and setting. Service and care to details was very good but could be somewhat improved....

A lovely hotel with great facilities.. We stayed there for 7 nights and all the nights were a pleasure.. Walking distance to a shopping mall and lots of great food places.. They even prepped our room for a surprise birthday at no extra cost.. The hotel is well managed and if you really want a good deal or any extra help Kripa is the go to man.. He will assist you with anything and everything..

I have lived in the AFECC Gloria Hotel in Maputo for nearly a month, and I would like to share my experience. The Chinese name of this hotel is also called Anhui Foreign Economic Kailai Hotel. It is a hotel with a huge scope, including the main building of the hotel. There is Gloria Mall next to the main door without leaving the door, a Chinese supermarket on the first floor, and a cinema on the third floor. The highlight of the hotel is that all rooms face the beach. There is a road outside the hotel gate that leads to the beach, and all rooms have sea views. - There is a red wine and cigar bar on the first floor, which can entertain VIP customers, and the wine is expensive. The G floor is a western restaurant, a lobby cafe, and breakfast is served on the G floor. First of all, I want to say that the location of the hotel is very convenient. It is located in the city center, with many shopping and dining places nearby, which is very suitable for travelers. In addition, the hotel also provides free pick-up and drop-off services, which is very convenient for travelers who do not rent a car. The first floor is a Chinese restaurant with rich dishes. There is a barrier to choice every time you order. People with a small appetite are advised to order the daily special set meal. Every dish ordered is huge. Basically, you can't eat anything with two dishes. The fried rice and noodles are also the size of a soup bowl, which can be shared by two to three people. There will be no harassment when the hotel central air conditioning is turned on. The hotel room is equipped with a balcony as standard. The balcony is 3-4 square meters, which is large. You can overlook Maputo Bay and watch the high and low tides every day. The sea breeze and the sound of the tide make it easy to fall asleep. Finally, I was impressed by the service of the hotel. The staff are very friendly and helpful. They always keep smiling and try their best to meet the needs of guests. Overall, I really enjoyed the experience of staying here. I heard from the locals that this hotel is located in the whole of Maputo and its facilities are very suitable for Chinese tourists. The only downside is that if you book late, the price will exceed a thousand yuan per day. It is highly recommended to travelers who are looking for a comfortable and convenient place to stay.

We had booked this before colleagues of mine in Maputo recommended other hotels. The hotel is clean, secure, and quiet, and the front desk staff were great. Location is reasonably close to the business districts and there is a grocery store next door. The rooftop bar is OK, though in a city with a lot of great views, it is nothing special. The breakfast was pretty dismal, and given how difficult transportation can be in Maputo if you don't have a driver, the staff could have been more helpful in that regard: they called a driver to take us to dinner but then left us to negotiate the price. In Portuguese. If your transportation is covered and this place is cheap, go ahead, but otherwise there are better places in town.

I had a wonderful stay in Montebelo Indy Maputo Congress Hotel. It is like living in a nice and quite village in the major city Maputo. Although the gym and the pool were closed due to Covid restrictions, the hotel succeeded in maintaining some part of their entertainment program: they have a very nice SPA and professional hairdresser services with friendly personnel. Following the Covid measures: I was very comfortable with their hygene policy and the way they put this in practice. Their hygene standards are comparable with or even higher than the ones of a 5 star hotel in Maputo. The hotel also maintains a high level of security, the rooms are nice and well maintained and the breakfast was very good. In short: if I would ever return to Maputo I book again a room in this hotel.

Booked in by my company on a layover in Maputo. When we checked in we were told the elevator was broken and our rooms were on the 11th floor !! Room was was very shabby. Broken window, mould in the bathroom, broken wall sockets NO toilet paper. Not worth the $83 charged for the over night stay and in fact would never stay here again. WiFi was terrible and hardly able to connect. Would not recommend this place, nothing in this place relates to VIP !!! Avoid it.

Rooms are very well appointed. Airconditioned and very comfortable. No bath in the bathrooms but otherwise very nice. Bed was very comfortable. Hotel is laid out as a round building so navigating around the premises is rather challenging. Some floors are across different levels. Central elevator is not working. So the only access to the rooms is through the service elevator. Breakfast was a complete buffet. Food seems to be of a high quality.

I think it is the best place to stay in Maputo) the hotel is beautiful, right on the beach-and the only one in Maputo that has an access to the beach and the ocean) an infinity pool, beautiful views, comfortable rooms -especially with the sea view) the breakfast has a variety of dishes that will suite anyone) the team is welcoming-especially Natercia and Heleno and Vasco from the Reception team) and Pedro, the waiter in the bar) and Mercio who met me in the begining-when i arrived at the ”wrong” entrance an got confused a bit)))) even before i got there i had a couple of requests for the team, when i e-mailed them, and all of them were quickly handled) i really lived the place and people) would definitely love to come back)
