Nothing, and I mean NOTHING, like the photos. Not remotely close. It’s a dark and creepy place. I had a booking here and there was no one around. A guy on the street carried my bag up the stairs. I asked if he worked for the hotel and he just kinda nodded. He took me to a solid metal door and banged on it several times. No answer. I asked if he was sure this was the hotel. He said yes, but I don’t think he actually worked there because he couldn’t get in. Things were beginning to feel like a scam. It was a completely dark hallway in a very dark building. After waiting a while, I finally took my bag and got out of there. I’ve been to over 120 countries and all over Africa and South America and this is one of the weirdest experiences I’ve had to date. Big no for me.

We choose this place due to its location and were very positiv surprised by the friendliness of it's owners, the cleanliness and the excellent location in the heart of Maputo. Absolutely good price and perfect value.
