Good relaxing place to stay. Plenty of gentle walks through vineyards around. Very convenient for Cividale and Udine by car. The restaurant is only open certain evenings and on arrival on a Monday we found the whole place deserted. We could not get in the building and had no info about this, despite an email exchange about eating arrangements earlier in the day. Fortunately I had just enough battery left on my phone to ring and get instructions, but it involved waiting for a call back. Somewhat nail-biting at 5 p.m. in rural Italy. There were no staff at night when the restaurant was closed.

Amazing place but best to go with a car or bike, it is up the hill and no public transportation near by and no shuttle service
The restaurant is great, every night it was full booked and the parking space with lots of cars

We returned to the Scacciapensieri, to savor the exquisite dishes made by Nicola, the chef of the restaurant always available and kind. Fantastic experience, which must only be lived on the spot ... Whoever writes else, does it for different purposes😉. Absolutely to try and try again!

Stayed and dined with a group of friends last week of May. Beautiful location, with breathtaking views. The structure is very well kept, with attention to every detail, both outside and inside. The rooms are spacious and furnished in a farmhouse style. Small but very nice dining rooms, impeccable preparation of the tables. Both dinner and breakfast are top marks, with quality products prepared in an impeccable way. Professional but friendly service. Nothing to say, really exceptional value for money.

Bella location in mezzo al verde ma la struttura sarebbe da "rinfrescare"; le camere ed i bagni vissute con arredi che andrebbero manutenzionati perche il legno emana odore di vecchio nelle stanze. Chef del ristorante impeccabile e di conseguenza ottima ristorazione e personale di sala gentile e di compagnia.
