Gran Festivall Resort

I liked everything except a few things, the room was a little hot, the washing in the bathroom was clogged, the water came out very badly in the bathroom, I cut my finger when flushing the toilet, I know that hotel is already a little old, but yes. It needs a little maintenance, the rest is fine, that's my opinion.

We made a reservation for one night at the Grand Festival Manzanillo Hotel. We arrived at the hotel at 12:30pm and it took us approximately 30 minutes to check in because there was only one girl serving us and her service left a lot to be desired, responding with no to any request made instead of giving us options. I requested a ground floor villa since we are seniors and in a very rude way she told us no, that if it was our turn it was fine but she didn't give us any option until we paid more. Next to her was a young intern who had a better attitude and although nervous he did his job. Fortunately, they put the bracelets on us and we began to enjoy the place. They told us that we could change clothes in the changing rooms in front of the reception, which are dirty and neglected (there was even a dirty sanitary towel in the shower area). As for food and drinks, everything was excellent, the service from the waiters in general and the hostess at the Italian restaurant were very good. Yesenia at the pool restaurant for breakfast was outstanding. Speaking of the Villa (room), it is in average condition, comfortable bed, good cleaning, good paint in the room, but the kitchen in the stove area is rusty. Speaking of the beach, the space designated for the hotel is very small and generally does not fit the guests. There is a lot of trash thrown around. The beach restaurant surprised us because everything was delicious and the drinks were very good (wonderful service from the waiter), but the tables and chairs are old and it looks bad to see the chairs all stained. It was time to check out, our flight was at 7:00 pm and we left the room at 12:00 (check out time), but we wanted to stay longer in the hotel to have lunch, at first they wanted to charge us a full night for this but we told them we would leave at 4:00 pm, so they only charged us $1,050.00 mxn for two people to have lunch. Overall our stay was not what we expected, we were guests of this hotel when it was called Maeva for more than ten years since we returned every October and that is why we wanted to return but after this experience, we will not return anymore.

The air conditioners and fans don't work, it's impossible to sleep, we had to go buy a fan, all the facilities are in poor condition, all the food areas are not in service, there are no good drinks, the food is average but it's what you expect in an all-inclusive. The rooms are flooded, there are more problems and guests complain that the staff to serve them are overwhelmed and they are not investing in the facilities. The kitchen staff and waiters are friendly.

The hotel is very run down, the air conditioning in the rooms doesn't work, many facilities are in terrible condition, there were 6 of us and 4 people ended up cutting themselves, the pool is now without tiles in many parts, drinks that were once available are no longer available, the Italian restaurant leaves a lot to be desired, in short, nothing to do with what were once first class facilities, how sad to see this place falling apart, don't expect much if it's what you see in the photos, good luck!

Unforgettable is the word that sums up our visit to the Grand Festival. The buffets were delicious. The entertainment group was incredible, especially Valeria who, besides being beautiful and talented, surprised us because she is also the hostess of the ITALIAN specialty restaurant “Confetti”. Her recommendations are the best.
