Hotel Alexander

The hotel is very convenient to a number of restaurants and a movie theater. I was in town partly to take the sculpture walk--a set of 24 sculptures which change every year. Several of them were across the street from the hotel. instead of plastic key cards, those staying here punch in a code on a keypad to enter their room. he room was very large with a couch, desk and chair along with the bed. The bathroom uses refillable pump containers for soap, shampoo and conditioner. My room had a walk in shower. L liked the cable TV options with many channels to choose from. There is a limited breakfast on the 3rd floor with cold cereal, oatmeal, thick sliced toast and English muffins. The walls are decorated with some unusual art. There is a large window to look down at the street.

The building was interesting and the decor was fun. The tub and shower were amazing. The staff was helpful and friendly. I was underwhelmed at the breakfast options and the view from the third floor was not that great. The cost of the room was a little high in my opinion.

It was anticlamactic Hotel was cool looking but being able to check in without having to go to front desk seems cool and all but staff when I did see them were not friendly at all. Continental breakfast was an hour and a half late, and when I wanted a coke from the lobby there was no one to assist me. Also bathtub had a sort of Dewey smell to it when draining.
