Regarding buffet management we are much satisfied with all the preparations made table arrangements as per requested, fresh seafoods, all the chef and staff members in Gayam were wonderful people and had never failed to serve us with their smiling faces especially Mr Amir yusof. Room check in, We felt much appreciated with your warmth welcome approaches made by Ms Sunitha and Mr Vikneswaran. Ms Sunitha had given a chance to us to check in much earlier than your resort's fixed time. Overally we were stunned with all your staff and services. This hotel is far away from Lumut or Pantai Remis, if you just to escape fron your busy life and enjoy the activities in the hotel, then this is a good choice. The room is big and quite completed with all the amenities like kitchen, induction cooker, fridge, dining table, sofa bed. The staff are very friendly and helpful, the only downside is the tv is not functioning well. You can walked one km to the beach and enjoy the sea side view. Overall , it is a nice place for you relax.

The location wise is very strategic, near food place. The staff is very friendly and the accommodations is value for the price paid. Very comfortable to rest with family and the space is spacious too. The design of the room and landscape of the hotel is simple but yet elegant! A pleasant stay!

This hotel is situated at one of the more strategic locations at Pangkor Island, i.e. along the popular Pasir Bogak beach on the west coast of Pangkor. It is a two-storey, low density hotel, whereby rooms on the ground floor have direct access to the swimming pool via their sliding glass doors. This was the first hotel I've stayed at since my childhood or teenage years, which still uses the conventional key drop system at the lobby (i.e. leave things inside your room at your own risk!). Nevertheless, the room that I got (i.e. the Super Deluxe Room, with 2 queen beds) was quite ok, and was able to fit my family comfortably. They also provide a generous allocation of both bath and pool towels in the room as well. The only issue we encountered was that the overhead shower in our bathroom was not working, therefore we could only use the hand shower. On a good weather day, the Pasir Bogak beach provides a beautiful sunset view, while during the morning, you can also enjoy the cool breeze as you enjoy your breakfast at their sea-fronting cafeteria. Although only a limited array of items are available for the breakfast, but they even have an action stall for eggs. At only 10 minutes' drive/ride from the jetty, this hotel is also within walking distance to multiple places of convenience, incl. eateries such as seafood as well as local street-fare, and even a duty-free outlet.

. Overall the room is quite spacious but unfortunately my room got no mirror in it. Just one mirror in the toilet. The room is also convenient for my family to stay. Overall 3.5/5

We stayed here one night with a tour group. Room and bed were clean and cosy. There is a swimming pool and reading room but we had no chance to use them. Breakfast was decent with a noodle counter. Salad was available. Porridge was not hot - it could be due to the electricity of the pot was not switched on.

The service was more than average as the counter was so nice which we late check in which at 3rd floor so we have no choice.
The lobby seen a bit nice but they focus on save power which no air con at the lobby.
The room same as described in the pictures but the ones thing I need to complain about where is the handle for shirts. We know it at the corner but in toilet there were did not have. It need to went to the corner to change then what if girls? How they change? Overall the toilet very clean
The room was very comfortable & all furnitures was well maintained such Panasonic tv, air con and so on.

GGuest UserMy husband and I chose to have our honeymoon at Pangkor Laut Resort two days after our wedding, and it was the best trip of our lives so far. We had a good first impression of the resort even before we reached the resort. We had arranged in advance for land transfer from Ipoh airport to Marina Island Pangkor, and we thought to have the driver pick us up at 10am even though our flight landed at 8.30am (just in case we faced delays with our flight or at immigration) but we were surprised when he was already waiting for us when we landed at 8.30am. After a 1.5h road trip from the airport to the office, we were welcomed with a refreshing drink and towel, and was then escorted to PLR on a speedboat with one other couple (which made us feel special, haha). Upon arrival at the resort, we were again welcomed with a little refreshment and had a staff attend to us immediately, helping us to plan our itinerary for the rest of the week that we were staying there. As we were still early and the rooms were not ready, we had lunch at the Feast Village and then rested in the library, which was very cosy with a good selection of books (only downside was there were so many house lizards, though I am not sure if anything could be done to prevent them from coming). Our room at the Garden Villa was wide and spacious, and we received a congratulatory drink from the resort to celebrate our wedding as well. (It was a nice gesture, but nothing could compare to the attentiveness of the different staff we met over the week, who, upon noticing the henna stains on our hands, congratulated us warmly in person). We also loved that the Garden Villa was so near to the Feast Village and Uncle Lim's Kitchen, which we kept going back to for breakfasts, lunches and dinners, as the food options across the two kitchens were varied and more importantly, delicious. The service at the kitchens were also amazing - Chef Liza was so friendly and approachable that she made us feel at home, and Masum and Nadim went out of their way to make each dining experience feel special for us (such as seating us at places where we would have unobstructed views of the beach, and offering to take photos of us without us even thinking of it). Other experiences we had at the resort were going for the jungle walk, swimming at Emerald Bay and having lunch at Chapman's Bar, and yoga. However, our favourite activity on the resort was going for the spa experience. It was so refreshing and phenomenal, and truly, no other spa can beat PLR's spa. We were pampered from head to toe, and the different bath experiences set the spa apart from other spas out there. The staff were also so knowledgeable and generous with sharing what they know, that both my husband and I learnt so much about the natural ingredients used in our sessions. Definitely made the experience more meaningful and personal for us, and after a hectic wedding weekend, the spa made us feel well rested and rejuvenated. We also got a free room upgrad

GGuest UserWe have just completed a 6 night stay at this lovely hotel and can thoroughly recommend it. We were allocated room 62 which was everything we wanted, very spacious with a big bed and a strong warm shower. It also had a front facing balcony with a sea view. A big than you to the cleaner who serviced our room very well, it was always immaculately clean and smelled very nice. The breakfast choice was just right, a egg station was available for choice of eggs, there was also a noodle station and my favourite...Roti Canai. The staff in the dining room were quick to clear tables and all the food tasted nice, so thank you to the chefs and the staff. The reception staff were always available and very pleasant, it was also good to have a permanent security guard at the front of the hotel, he was always smiling and helpful, a very nice man. Thank you for your assistance with our luggage and helping us park our motor cycle etc. The hotel also has a very nice swimming pool and loungers, with towels available. So really it ticks all the boxes for a great stay and the nightly price rates are very reasonable. I can highly recommend this hotel.

Aamir_mazlanThe building is old; maintained a bit less than adequately. You may have to call reception to get some things fixed (lights, bath, etc.). I upgraded my room from city & sea view to pool & sea view - its worth the RM30. Amenities is great - pool is near to the beach. If you bring your kids, let them play at the beach but no swimming as it is too close to the jetty. You can always swim at the pool. Breakfast is good. Malaysian breakfast mostly and those are cooked to almost perfection. Staff and service is fantastic.

FFAfiqYou get what you paid. I booked and stayed at Bayu Villa with the beach view for 3 nights. At first I personally didn't put a very high expectation on this resort because of the rate was relatively cheap. But to my surprise I found my stay was pleasant and satisfying. The Bayu Villa was spacious and the bed was comfy. However they need to refurbish the room interior and put an extra afford to ensure the cleanliness of the room before letting the guest check in. From my personal point of view, this resort is for a lower or middle class guest and if you're a type of so called classy guest and expecting a perfect getaway, please do not book this resort. But if you're a simple type and just wanted to enjoy the pool and the beach, I am highly recommended this resort. I spent my final 2 night having a dinner at their coffeehouse and I was really enjoying my meals eventhough it was very limited choices from the ala-carte menu. Here are my comments on things to improve 1- Please enhance the pool cleanliness, there were a lot of beach sand inside the pool. Maybe because there are no restrictions or regulation of swimming attire by guest. 2- Please improve the Wifi signal quality especially for Bayu Villa area. 3- Improve on the breakfast choices and menu. Overall, for the price that I paid, I am satisfied.

MMohd Rashidi AdenanThe place is actually a double storey house which has been converted into rooms. There is no check in counter but u need to find the helper outside the house to get in your unit. The room quite small but have all the necessities required. In term of privacy we can hear noises from outside but managed to get a good sleep. Its a bit far from the beach if u have to walk around 10mins. Overall its worth the cheap price but not suitable for family with small kids.

The hotel : No make up room (throw your own garbage, sweep your own floor, make your own bed), stingy coffee making facility (the kettle is around with 2 packs of each coffee/tea/sugar) , bad furniture (I mean bad, not ugly not old or dated), unwise location of electrical outlets (3 inches from the floor & 1 foot from the ceiling), stingy with the pillow (1 for each visitor & RM10/night/pillow if you asked for extra) & tiny so-called queen beds (not suitable if you & your couple weight at 70+ kg). If you are someone looking for a quiet-surrounding hotel, this is not for you. Simply because you'll be entertained with all the noises coming from the running & yelling of parents & their kids on the hallway and with some luck, you'll hear their footsteps above you. The receptionists are not particularly friendly. Don't expect a warm welcome.

EErul MaverickI'd booked for this hotel via online in trip.com apps. The rate for online booking is RM 92.47. Due to my late check in, I asked my friend who stayed nearby to the hotel to check in the room first. As a normal practice, my friend put a deposit for RM 50 at the counter. To be surprised, the staff issued a receipt of the deposit and room rate for RM 84.15. There's a difference of RM 8.32. As far as I'm concerned, we'll get a lower price when booking online rather than walk in.
The cleanliness of the room is not in perfect condition as the bedsheets and the floor are dirty. I'm sorry to comment on this as to ensure the hotel management asked the housekeeping staff to do their jobs properly.

RRizal AVery easy to find and ample parking lot with convinient shops and services available. Air condition unit was very big with nice bed sets. Children like the stay experience but the only drawback was having to climb up the stairs. A little bit noisy facing the main road.

GGuest UserThis is my first trip to Pangkor Island. I had book this hotel last minute in Agoda after I bought the ticket for last ferry 7.15pm from Marina to Pangkor. I had choose this hotel because I had see the review is not bad with 5star review for all the review in year 2020 and they rank 5th for overall best hotel in Pulau Pangkor. When I arrive at the hotel, there is nobody there for me to do the check in. I am thinking the staff maybe out to buy or having their dinner. But after a while 2 of the staff is back in the property and told me they are not expecting any guest so they went out to buy dinner. After thinking a while, it is not surprise as they not expect anyone today. First I only do the booking not long ago so they may not had received the email from Agoda. Second, today Malaysia recorded the highest day for people infected with Covid-19. As this 2 reason, they sure will not expecting any guest for the day. But this not concern me at all, because I am having great time while staying at this hotel. Below are all the reason which I will highly recommend this hotel to who had read my review here. 1. The hotel rate is reasonable. The room is chalet/villa type which the room rate is cheap. 2. This hotel had been newly renovated so it is cosy to stay. Please do not read any review before year 2020. They had renovated the hotel in 2020, all the furniture is new and the stay is cosy. 3. The staff and management is very friendly. They will assist you in what they can. 4. There is a fews bicycle to use for free at the hotel. 5. The location is very good. Walking distance to the Pasir Bojak Beach. And there is a lot of Chinese and Malay restaurant nearby. (Fully recommend βChao Seng Seafood Rstaurantβ nearby) 6. There is a few motor bike or car rental outside the hotel which for sure will be convenient for you to ride around the island. (Recommend to take a bike and you can ride the bike for island tour) I feel so relax and happy for my 3d2n trip while staying at this hotel. Will come back to stay here for my next trip to Pangkor Island again. Again, Tripadvisor had not disappointed me when I am searching for a hotel stay to a place which I am not familiar. I hope with my review I can make this property to more higher ranking so that everyone will be happy to discover this hotel.
