Pangkor Fish House

It was very easy to communicate with the owner for the reservations and various arrangements prior to arrival. I was welcomed and shown around and my scooter was ready for me to discover the island. My room was basic but good enough. The outside area where guests can enjoy a drink looking at the life on the sea was pleasant. The guesthouse is located in the Chinese village and you can discover the laid-back life style of the Chinese community, the shipyard, the anchovies factory,...all at walking distance. I had a nice one night stay. Yet, I have been quite disappointed by the island itself having so little to offer. One night was enough.

Very easy to find and ample parking lot with convinient shops and services available. Air condition unit was very big with nice bed sets. Children like the stay experience but the only drawback was having to climb up the stairs. A little bit noisy facing the main road.
Nipah Bay Villa

For the price we paid for two nights, the accommodation was more than we expected. Working aircond, hot water, tv, mini fridge and towels. Located walking distance to plenty of food stalls and in between two beaches, nipah beach and coral beach which is a 5 minute walk away. Staff is friendly as well. Rooms are within close proximity to each other so do expect a lot of noise when its filled.

This resort offers you a well maintained accommodation with sufficient facilities. We booked ourselves for a Special Deluxe room and we did not regret it at all. Though we had to walk up to the top floor, the room that we got as soon as we opened the door took our breath away! It was so romantic. The room came with a double bed, with a view of the sea right from the balcony. The room was of a decent size, comfortable enough for 2 adults. For us, the best part was the large balcony with terracotta flooring, a picnic table, and a hammock. The view was amazing during sunset. The pool was small, but considering the number of rooms they had, it’s acceptable. It’s not that deep, but you can still swim freely when there was no one else. I did not recall if there was a gym though. The beach was just a few steps away from the property- right in front. There were so many water sports activities which could easily be rented/purchased from numerous vendors there. There were also stalls and restaurants along the road so finding your meals and necessities were easy. For mobility, we rented a motorcycle. It’s very cheap (about MYR 40 per 24 hours on a low season, weekday). Another great thing about the Pangkor Island was that it’s a duty-free island and everything was so cheap (at the duty free outlets). Will surely come again for many more times.

Teluk Nipah has a malay majority crowd. Stayed here for 3D2N. During our stay, I think we were the only handful of chinese family around this area but it was fine. The locals here provided great hospitality. The overall check-in & out experience with this resort was great. Helpful boss & staff with efficient services. Plates, bowls, cutlery & a bread toaster were available for use with a hot, room & cold water dispenser. Loved the cold AC & high water pressure in the bathroom. Stayed in the room at the far back of the resort.....a couple of small set backs would be the insufficient video signal which caused color distortion on the TV program and room could use a remake due to aging although overall, the entire resort is very clean. In short, it's still a great stay. Worth returning.
Vikri Beach Resort

I stayed at the place for the 4th time simply because of its great location (across the the street from Pasir Bogak beach), big-spacious-comfortable rooms, big-spacious-open surrounding, reasonable price & super-nice owner. Then one might ask what's the improvement needed? 2 of them IMHO (since I like this place so much) : One, the house keeping should be a little more alert of their duty. Don't have to wait for the guest to ask for make-up rooms. Do it. Swipe. Clean the verandah. change the toilet paper and other necessary things. Two, tv reception must be improved. Don't have to put lot of channels. About 3 would do but make sure they are ”watchable” - no ”ants” or ”course sugar” on the channels/programs. Believe me, between activities, guests would very much appreciate a nice relaxing-tv-watching activity while resting in their rooms. I would. Really hope that on my 5th stay, things will be better. Overall, thumbs up to the Mr. Vijay & Mdm. Kamala (owners). The both of you are good people.
