We are a couple who arrived late in the evening due to our transfer being late and the gate was locked so the taxi couldn’t get in. We went through the side gate and there was a security box with a code. We weren’t told about a code for check in and the taxi driver helped us get our room key out of the box. Was a very stressful start to our holiday! We couldn’t even call reception because it closed at 9pm. The next morning the reception didn’t open till 10am which was ridiculous having no water or anything. The receptionist staff were very rude and unhelpful. Was surprised that they didn’t care or wanted to assist us. They told us all the facilities were shut down, no restaurant, bar and only one pool. It’s an absolute joke! We had no idea and no one had informed us about this. We were utterly upset and disappointed. We wanted to move hotels but unfortunately our holiday company could not help us. We had to spend way more on a car rental because the place was so far away from anything such as a shop to buy water. We spoke with a few families who were very upset and disappointed as there was nothing for the kids and all facilities were closed apparently due to winter season which I had never heard of. Very disappointing! We won’t be going back. Lovely place Malaga and in future will stay in Estepona. Avoid this hotel! You’ll get ripped off!
