I think this hotel is generally not bad! other than the air conditioner is abit old school and requires some climbing to adjust the temperature. there's no fixed temperature to it too so have to see whether how cold u want it to be, the fan speed etc etc. forgot to take pictures around the hotel but the hotel is quite decent!

Had a little hiccup before check-in cause i was supposed to wait in the lobby for my check in time but there were a lot of people in the lobby and i think they were filming a movie or something. It was a bit inconvenient but luckily there was a coffee place beside the hotel. Altho its not their fault cause i was the one who got there early but it would have been nice if they offered a place where waiting guests can lounge.
The front desk was so kind to check me in a little bit earlier. The room was spacious and neat. Altho the A/C was so cold at 20 degrees but was able to manage. I was only able to explore other amenities in the hotel at night but i think it would have been fun and full of life during the day.
The staff were so jolly and corteous, and was swift to cater my needs and requests, altho it wasnt that many. The security were so kind and i can say that they really do well with their job keeping the guests and the staff safe. A special thank you to K9 Handler Joven, Rey, Windel, Jeff, Jayson, Dinnes, and Sabando– who were always ready to open the door, quick to assist, and greet me and other guests. I felt really safe.
I have booked a lot of hotels in manila and all of it were just subpar. My stay in Lyf Malate was the best so far and would come back the next time i have to be in manila.
Thank you so much!

Location - few walks away from DLSU, St. Scholastica and Benilde. Also few walk away from LRT stations and Bus Stations so quite accessible. If your are foreign tourists, expect some noise and dirty manila surroundings when you go out of the hotel facility.
Service - Staff and crew are very pleasant starting with the security guards and attendants upon the entering the hotel facility. The check in procedures are smooth and the receptionist during that time is very accommodating and nice.
Facilities - The building is kinda ”old” and it is very evident with the elevators and the lobby. Upon entering the room, I noticed it was very clean and the CR is very clean and dry as well. However, you can really notice that everything is old although it can add ”charm” to the ambiance of the hotel because well, it can be like that. Other that that, everything is nice, the beds are big and the pillows and comforters were, well, seems clean naman. All rooms have their own balcony however, for security purposes, doors are locked but you have a good view pa din naman, which is sa room ko, the Manila skyline and the pool. I think the worst part lang is the smell of the room. Not stinky naman or whatever but I am not sure if because the building is old or whatever but there's really a weird smell na hindi nakaka ”clean” smell, not sure if coming from the old aircon or whatever. Yun lang ata ang downfall, the old vibe of the room is okay but the smell, hhmmm, not sure.
There's a pool area as well and a jacuzzi, which I was able to try and it's really nice.
Food - My stay came with a breakfast buffet. The restaurant is sooo nice, again, the old vibes kinda add with the ambiance. The staff are well trained as well so they're accommodating and pleasant. As for the food selection, I guess it's the normal food selection for a hotel. There's the usual morning breakfast, pastries, juices and all. With the price you paid, I think it's okay.
In general, my stay was nice and I can really say that the biggest assets of hotels like CPH are their staff and crews because how they treat and accommodate their guests will have a great impact with the stay.

The hotel was in an old building
Inside too many insects even if you switch off the lights at night they will come to your bed. Many many , I asked for spraying every 4 hours, the worker gave me one spray to do by myself, so the big problem was it,
The second area is the red line and at night was so dangerously , too many small children beg you money and even maybe catch your bag or make big problem for you so better to avoid this area , too many fake massagers and will asking for small money to your room then will happen disaster problem, for me they stolen all my money and bag and mobile because that one put some frog to my tea , during she stay in my room for massage,
The third room was so noisy at night because there were too many clubs, if you want to sleep at 12 you can't until 3 am ,
The gym was a joke , nothing
The reception worker was very good and helpful, and kind. All of them are so polite and helpful
I downloaded the photos for viewing from the balcony
Thanks.

Great hotel. It’s like a laid back place located in the city. Not so noisy and the city view is great. Buffet breakfast is great too, so many options for the decent price. Pool is small though but at least the view of it while dining is a plus. Our room was family room, big and spacious, quite old though but everything is fine. Will consider to book again.☺️

All the staff are very warm, friendly and helpful. The location is super convenient in terms of shopping and dining. Very satisfactory stay with good value. Well done.
The only suggested area for improvement is room cleaners should try to keep trolly noise down especially after 10pm.

CcanvvBasic amenties - towels, toothbrush, and paste.
I liked the liquid soap provided - did not dry my skin.
Some rust on the soap and shampoo container as it was steel/metal bottle.
Room was clean enough. Linens fresh and crisp.
The room size was decent. The AC was a little loud.
Robinsons mall is nearby. Alot of food options around the hotel.

GGuest UserWhen I arrived at the reception in Hotel Ava, I thought I need to show my booking confirmation. But the receptionist asked for my ID. I have a lot of baggage so it will be hard for me to find my ID. So I asked if I can show the picture of my ID. I understand that they don't allowed me.
But the thing that I don't like is one of the receptionist on Oct. 31, 2024 around 10pm.. Said ”Walang booking booking dito”. I get irritated because they are not professional. Those ******** receptionists treat me as a scammer even I'm not. Luckily I find my ID after the rude comment from that guy. They are not friendly and not smiling to their guests. Not accomodating and ”mayabang”.
But the staff who are assigned to give a pitcher of water are kind. I really appreciate their service.

AAnonymous UserThe room given to me was nice. And kudos to the staff - when water entered the room because of the recent storm, I was immediately moved to another room.
Maybe fix the leaking windows next time. But overall (if there's no storm or typhoon), I'd probably stay there again if given the chance.
