2-Star Hotels in Manila

I was in StayMalate, but I was in the hotel's room, and I was in the hotel's room. The rooftop is super nice, you can eat a curry chicken with rice for 3 or 4 euros or other dishes. You can also make yourself eat, but given the price of the prepared meals, it's a pity to eat too much cooked meal pasta as the French I've seen recently. The toilets are very clean everywhere and the bathroom is also clean every day. The hotel is a very good hotel and is very comfortable and very comfortable. The Jeepney's stops are down the street and will bring you all over Manila, and 7/Eleven everywhere. For noise sensitives, provide Quies balls because there is noise at night in the street, but it's all the same or take a bed that doesn't give on the street. Another positive point is a very large Robinson shopping centre at 500 metres where there is as much food as stores like H&M, Samsung, restaurants ... We stay there for 3 days. Our experience is good, because the room is clean and good air-condition. The place is very near to lrt station (Vito Cruz). Also near in Ninyo Aquino Stadium and Robinson's Manila. Highly recommend for those who seek for budget friendly hotel in manila.

Very strategic location for hype solo traveler. However, if you are the type who gives value to smooth good night sleep the Hotel is the last on your list because it is near to drinking and party pubs with live band and disco music which starts from sunset to near dusk.

Excellent price and room despite lack of most complimentary sundries you expect from hotels. For a price of just around 15 US dollars I got a family sized suite with a double bed and a bunk bed. Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, however, the property has been having problems providing toiletries. In my first visit last August, there was absolutely no toiletries provided, but in this recent visit this September, a complete set was provided. This was not such a big issue for me though, since I usually carry around my own hygiene kit. But what I keep coming back for in this property is the surprisingly excellent food they provide, which is absolute home-cooked goodness. I got to stay here because I'm ordered to follow protocol entering the country. I have to be quarantined for couple of days. However, I encountered couple of issues that I think I need to address with. 1. When my flight was cancelled I wasn't given the opportunity to reschedule my date of arrival. Imagine how exhausting it is after a long flight to call agency after agency to get another connecting flights. I had to call to reschedule/cancel swab testing coz of the cancelled flight. I had to call the hotel in manila (RedDoorz near Quiapo Church) to bypass and to consider rescheduling the date of my arrival because it was so hard to get connected with an agent over the phone but it wasn't granted. So I ended up paying a night of a room without even staying in there. 2. The front desk who checked me in was rude, not even helpful at all. I asked her when I checked in if there's a WIFI. She said its in the back of my key. When I got to my room. I checked the back of my key. It's a combination of number. I know I'm not blind but it never goes through. I called her and she said that's the only password she could give me. I called her again in an hour and she keeps saying the same thing so I gave up since its 2 in the morning and I just decided to fix everything tomorrow when I wake up. 3. I called the front desk about the same issue from the evening. They said the WIFI password is only located at the back of my room key. And they said they will try to look for something else and will call me back. 2 hours passed nobody called me. I had to go downstairs regardless I'm on 'quarantine' because no one seems to be helpful at all. Caught them laughing and chitchatting in the lobby when I'm struggling to get access to WIFI to settle some things to do with appointments etc. A nice lady came to my room and help me access the WIFI. It was quick. I asked her how she did it, She said there's a different WIFI password the management just happen to change it long ago and the password at the back of my key is so outdated. So I was speechless. From the night to the afternoon I was told the same thing that it was just at the back of the key. 4. I noticed 2 small cockroaches in my room which I don't really find it disturbing but for a business a running a hotel its a big NO NO NO. 5. My second night was horrifying. I woke up in the middle of the night and felt something was crawling in my back. I was too tired and sleepy to care for it. About a couple of minutes my oranges that was just sitting in the table fell out from the plastic bag. I find it strange but I was damn tired. Later this morning I found out that there's a rat bite in my orange, my cheez whiz and even the soap that I placed in the bathroom sink had a bite on it. I called the FD and someone came in to my room. I was shocked to be asked by a guard to check if there's a visible hole anywhere in my room. He told me that how would a rat came in to my room when its all closed. I'm assuming he is not think

This time the room that we booked— it’s telephone is out of order, the toilet has blockage, the ac in room creates statics, the lower floor creates loud noises. It was not a good experience to us. However, this is the first that this happened to us in this hotel so we just shrugged it off. Suki kasi kami dito sa hotel na ito because of its cheap price yet comforting hotel to stay in that’s why we let it slide. 😆

The configuration in the room is average, without bedside tables. WIFI is relatively slow. It will take 460ms to use WIFI in the room to hit the king of glory The room is non-smoking. Smoking has to go to the first floor, At night I just wanted to go out to smoke when someone robbed me. There is no law and order here, there is no 24-hour front desk, and no security.

My stay at RedDoorz booked through Trip.com was better this time. I got a nicer room, but unfortunately, there was no drinking water provided as advertised. Overall, a mixed experience.

The room is large and the bed is very big. However, the bathroom had many issues from bad water pressure to extreme cold and hot temperatures and the sink also has issues with the water getting stuck and taking time to go down the drain. The swimming pool is big and clean and stays open until 9 pm which is great. The location is not ideal but not terrible either...Overall, I would say this hotel is average.
