The Chalets are tucked away right off one of the main roads nestled in between their beautiful garden. They are private and beautifully appointed. The open kitchen was great for cooking anything from a simple meal to a complicated one. The chalet's keepers were wonderful and extremely knowledgeable about the area surrounding the chalets and made some great recommendations. We even learned how to pronounce Mangawhai the correct way in Māori. The chalets were not the cheapest but with everything offered, you feel like you're not paying enough; they were impeccable and safe for female solo travelers as well. We felt like we stayed with family instead of a rental.

We saw the photos online & really liked the look of this place including the King size bed with excellent quality doona & sheets. The host’s Lindy & Stu are super friendly & helpful. With the Clubhouse kitchen there we decided to eat in & could easily walk to supermarket from Chalet.

This is a stunning property. We stopped there on the way back from the far north of the country to Auckland. We wish that we had spent more time at this perfect location; plenty to explore in the area and, of course, relax in the chalet and its gardens. This was truly a delight to stay there. We were greeted by both Stu and Linda , the owners , on the first evening. They couldn’t do more to help. The place is so well kept; great attention to detail. Nothing was too much trouble for Stu and Linda. This was an amazing find and, as mentioned earlier, only wish we’d have stayed longer. We must come back. I would definitely recommend a trip to this part of the world and the chalets

As soon as you arrived the warm welcome of the hosts made it so relaxing. Stu and Linda know how to do everything with excellence. Their attention to detail from local shells and lavender left in your room - a nice touch. I’d go back in a flash. Not too far to go from Auckland.

Stayed here over a weekend. Great accommodation with a good set up. Comfy little chalets and a spacious communal kitchen and social area that has all the items you need for cooking or just relaxing. Good location, short walk to shops, handy to golf course too. Would definitely stay here again.

Stayed for a couple of nights and wished we were staying longer! Fabulously friendly hosts, and adorable accommodation - very stylish and extremely comfortable cabin in the quaintest of courtyard surroundings. Round the corner from all shops and restaurants so very handy. Will definitely be back, and highly recommend! You won’t regret it! Looks exactly like the photos on the site!

Awesome hosts..beautifully appointed chalet with fantastic bed and linen. Lots of nice extras including excellent BBQ setup with an outdoor lounge area. 5 mins walk restaurants and new Four Square superette.. Throughly recommend and would stay again in a heartbeat..
