"This is rated 4 stars hotel but if you see the room, it will be otherwise. For me, I will give 2 star max for that room. Consider clean but very old for me. But I didn’t go enjoy other facilities, so cannot comment further."
"Strategically located near central Manchester city. Easy to walk around town. Hotel room is small, good to stay for one short trip. Breakfast was ok, but the hall was a little small."
"Perfect if you’re due to catch the train with your cabin bag, less so if you’re traveling with three large suitcases as the distance from hotel to station is just a wee bit too much and steep for us!
Small straightforward lobby and reception but seemingly big adjacent restaurant for breakfast etc. Not much seating area but there’s an umbrella and uber machine guests can help themselves with.
We got a room with double plus a single, a table and two chairs squeezed in the corner and coffee and tea facility.
Sufficient for an overnight though if you’re staying in the weekend as we did, there’ll be some rowdy crowd staying in this central Manchester hotel too!"
"Best location for a night out in SpinningFields. 1 minute walk from everywhere we went. 12pm checkout which is better than most places we’ve stayed. Another Bonus is that you get a code to get 50% off your carpark. £15 for 24hrs was worth it as only 5-6 minute walk from hotel. Staff were friendly and helpful, we even got a welcome drink on arrival. 100% recommend."
"Excellent large space similar to an apartment. Fascinated with the number of rooms and how much amenities there was available and good quality cosmetics from The White Conpany. Only negative was that walls are a bit thin, as well as their being stairs down to reception and the shower drain does not flow as easily so water does build up."
"Had a short stay in Manchester and needed a place that I could also work from while enjoying the city. The studio room was clean, well furnished and had everything I needed for a short stay. The staff was friendly, and there was a ”grab and go” breakfast offered which wasn't particularly appealing but better than nothing. Location was good and had plenty to do nearby- bit difficult to get to from the airport, needed an Uber."

"First time I’ve stayed at the Alan but won’t be my last. Lovely hotel in general, room was clean bright & had very tasteful decor, staff were friendly & happy to help with any questions. I included breakfast in my stay, that was very good, hot food menu was varied & food was excellent, as a vegetarian there was a good choice.
The only negative point was there was only one lift in use so I had to wait a while each time.
I look forward to staying here again."
"It was decent. I stayed for one night while passing through, and the price was quite reasonable compared to other cities. Unfortunately, Manchester's Albert Square was under renovation, so there wasn't much to see. The main drawback was that the car park was a bit of a walk from the hotel. I'd advise checking with the hotel about parking before you arrive, otherwise, it can be quite a hassle."

Great
AAli WLIt was conveniently located near the train station, and accessible on foot to all the terminals at Manchester airport. The staff were friendly, and our check in was smooth. The rooms were spacious and clean with a modern touch, and I loved the big windows, providing ample natural light. Very comfortable beddings, and they had accessible rooms. Each room had a Nespresso machine w 1 pod, a kettle, a hairdryer and even a garment steamer. Overall a great hotel, highly recommend.
AAnonymous UserLocation might be handy if you are physically able to walk about in the city centre, I have MS and walking can be difficult at the best of times, not the fault of the hotel but my booking was made during a period of severe weather conditions and the hotel staff checked me in immediately, four hours before their usual time and were very helpful, polite and friendly.

NNayomithedivaLoved my stay at this Hotel. It was my third time staying at this hotel. The aesthetics of the Hotel are really nice. The spaces in the hotel are modern with a touch of luxury. The front desk ladies that I met during my stay were welcoming, friendly and had good vibes.Nothing beats a warm welcome.
Check in was quick and easy and very professional. I forgot the name of the lady that checked us in but she was fabulous. We checked in on September 4th 2024 between 12:20-12:50 so the lady that was sat on the right side of the main desk at that time did really well n checking us in.
The breakfast was okay , but it kinda left me wanting more in terms of selection. Maybe beef sausages or even chicken sausages could be added???
But it was still good nevertheless.
The location of the hotel is also pretty good as you are able to go to access many restaurants… and shopping points.
Distance from the Machester Piccadilly Train station from this hotel is super convenient as well.
Would totally recommend this hotel😊😊😊

Very Good
GGuest UserThis is a grand and historic hotel, and I had a very comfortable stay. Its location is fantastic, right in the city center and just a short walk from Manchester's Chinatown. My only complaints are the unclear smoking signs near the entrance and the tiny ashtrays provided. There was also no doorman to offer assistance or reminders. This could easily lead to fines (as enforcement seemed rather discreet), which unfortunately cast a shadow of frustration and disappointment over my trip.

TtravelammiThis was my second visit. My first stay was good and I was happy. Not this time and it was only because at 7 am until evening, there was a strange noise coming from the side of the room. It started with two bangs, then sound of machine or a pulley. First I thought it was the lift but then I heard whoosh of water so I assumed it was a water pump. Then two more bangs and it would continue for 3 minutes and stop. It would repeat after 3 minutes. It went on and on and I couldn't sleep extra. In the afternoon I couldn't take a nap. At least in the night it was quiet. I spoke to lady at the reception at she said there were no more single rooms. Then she asked me how long I was staying and I said one more night ( I was there for two nights ). Then she repeated there were no more rooms. She said maintenance will come and have a look. Three hours after when I went back to the reception, and asked the lady what time the maintenance personnel would come, she called them but there was no answer. She checked the time and made a guess the reason they might not be answering is that they might be on a lunch break and promised to send them to my room as soon as they returned. I said to her that even though they are unable to change the room, I wanted them to know that this is a problem and it was annoying me. She made sure to write my report. The lady was really trying to help me and was apologetic but no maintenance personnel cam eo the room and no one said what that noise was.
The breakfast was English and as it is at hotels. Tidy and well organised dining hall and friendly staff. The room was small and had a small window with curtains which was not hooked properly so in the night, the light from the building outside shone in the room so had to fiddle a bit with the curtain to cover. It was still a comfortable room if it wasn't for the banging noise and the machine/pulley whizzing.

SSeñorHotelA great hotel near the airport. The shuttle is 10 quid and the hotel is clean with friendly staff. Downpoints are that parking can be busy sometimes and the pull up switch between the shower and bath tap can be a bit troublesome (room 719) and the same in some other rooms I have stayed in. Food and bar available and 24hour reception.
GGuest UserWe had the window room, price is fantastic, room is big and clean, TV is very big, double the size that the usual hotel room has, bathroom big and clean like new, fan, hairdryer, kettle and tea/coffee. Location is fantastic, right in the middle of centre, lots of shops around, less than 10mins walk to Chinatown. Free newspaper available. Drink and snack vending machine at the lift available. But because the location is in the city, the room is bit noisy during the night. There some free postcard of the hotel at the lobby too.
GGuest UserMy man told me the doors locked yet there wasn’t any batteries to make functional, he also said I looked like a stoner n can happily smoke ****, so I took upon his request and enjoyed my stay to the fullest, was beneficial of the pricing range as the cost was no more then a 3.5 per bedroom
As for the the essential part of the trip, my associate commandeered a new sleeping partner,
So many thanks to the OUO house members for letting us stay in Middleton 😘
