We were in room 7 and this has got to be one of the worst hotel stays I’ve ever been. It was self check in which was initially fine but meant there was nobody to complain to. Firstly, the window had been left open when there’s an obvious wasp nest right beside the window with hundreds of wasps flying in and out holes right outside the window, so we had to close the window so no wasps would come in so the room was absolutely roasting. Secondly, the shower was mouldy, had long dark hairs stuck to the walls and the shower itself was so temperamental as it kept turning off after every few minutes and you had to stand and wait for it to eventually come back on again with hair full of shampoo. There was a TV in the room but there was no channels or signal so didn’t work. The roof was sloped so had to watch your head if you were on the left side of the bed. There was no lamps in the room just the main light, so if you woke up in the middle of the night to go to the toilet you couldn’t see where to go until you got to the other side of the room for the big light switch, banging your head on the sloped roof on your way. Wifi was terrible and did not work. No mirrors in bedroom to get ready, there was one in bathroom. The carpet was old and stained. Lastly, the tea coffee sugar table was absolutely disgusting. Tea and coffee had been decanted into glass jars which were so dirty and in need of a thorough clean. There was what I think some sort of powdered milk in one of the jars? No real milk or UHT portions. There was only brown sugar sachets available which was placed inside a previously used white sugar jar which had crusted round the bottom as per previous guest photos. But no white sugar sachets. We stayed here as it was close to the hospital St Mary’s where we had an appointment the next day and we don’t live nearby. I get the price for this room isn’t expensive however you do expect certain levels of cleanliness and basic facilities like running water.
