First time I’ve stayed at the Alan but won’t be my last. Lovely hotel in general, room was clean bright & had very tasteful decor, staff were friendly & happy to help with any questions. I included breakfast in my stay, that was very good, hot food menu was varied & food was excellent, as a vegetarian there was a good choice.
The only negative point was there was only one lift in use so I had to wait a while each time.
I look forward to staying here again.

The location of the hotel is extremely good because it is very near to the China Town in Manchester. So it is convenient to have Chinese food. The hotel also provides the guest with the breakfast and it is good too.

Amazing experience. It locates in the very central place, walking distance to every where. The BAR and dining area is cute and very Instagram style. The reception is friendly.
Bed is super big and comfortable.

The hotel is alright. We stayed just a night and were unable to do anything due to tiredness after travelling a lot, and then in the morning, the fire alarm went off, so we had to rush out. The receptionist told us that they would immediately refund our deposit of £50 in which they requested us to pay at check-in. However, we still haven't received it until now, after about 10 days already. It's no good!

The beds were really hard and the air conditioning unit made a weird noise all night even when it was switched off. The room was tired and in need of a bit of an uplift. Breakfast was a good size but it was cold (full English)

Lovely reception area, but rooms were underwhelming. Bathroom fittings were loose and dirty. The tap was missing an aerator to stop it leaking

Good location but for a 4 star hotel the rooms were a bit shabby. Shower head was broken, tv remote batteries didn’t work, sheets were dirty and my “king size” bed was on the small side. 😂 there was also the sound of water dripping all night so it was so hard to sleep.
Breakfast was nice! Great choice of vegan and vegetarian options.
