The Malmaison at Manchester Deansgate is a relatively new hotel with a retro theme. I was travelling for business purposes and appreciated a hotel chain with a slightly edgy character. The check in process was easy with very polite staff and the bar area was very modern and comfortable. The room was of a high standard, I especially liked the artwork that overlapped the bed, which was comfortable and gave me a good night sleep. The breakfast the next morning was very nice, I asked for something off menu, which they happily catered for and was well presented. I did have an issue with my TV (the plug wasn't working properly), but the staff fixed the issue within a few minutes. Overall, I would recommend this hotel, and will be staying here again.

I recently stayed at Malmaison Manchester Deansgate and was very disappointed. The room was dirty, with dusty surfaces and stained linens. The staff were unhelpful and indifferent when I raised concerns. The Wi-Fi was slow and unreliable. Additionally, the noise from the busy street made it difficult to sleep. Overall, this hotel did not meet my expectations, and I wouldn’t recommend it.

My husband and I stayed on May 28th, we were greeted by Shannon who was absolutely lovely. The hotel was amazing and definitely the perfect location for Spinning Fields and right around the corner from China Town. We visited the roof top bar in the hotel which was perfect for chilling and enjoying the views on the city. Again we were greeted by Ella who was also lovely. We enjoyed it that much on the day we were due to leave, we checked back it. The breakfast was the best I have had for a very long time. Room were modern but cosy and beds were so very comfortable. Would definitely recommend and we will also be returning. Thank you again to all the amazing team and a big shout out to Shannon and Ella for your lovely warm hospitality. Mel and Teo

Thoroughly enjoyed my stay - thank you! The staff were super friendly and gave excellent recommendations for restaurants, especially Maray. The breakfast buffet was delicious. The room was beautiful with plenty of thoughtful design touches. Nice to have a free glass of fizz on arrival too!

I only planned on staying for one day at the Malmaison, but ended up extending my stay by a day due to it being such a relaxing experience. The hotel is very modern, it feels new and is very clean. It's also equipped with 2 on site eateries including a boujee rooftop bar. They also do room service all day and night which is great. I ordered a really nice dish that was completely vegan as well as gorgeous cocktails delivered to my room which were all vegan as well. I really loved the room and it was super clean, spacious with a very comfortable bed with high quality pillows! The bathroom was super clean and modern with 0 faults. Special mention to Abby, and Bailey at the reception for being amazing throughout my entire stay. Also all 4 members of staff who delivered room service were super polite, professional and friendly! I'm not sure their names but I'd love for them to be recognised for making my stay a pleasure. Whilst staying here, I was under the impression that nothing was too big or small of an ask for staff! They made this experience 5 stars. The only cons would be my room became slightly dusty when I turned the thermostat up to get a little bit warmer in the evening. I would definitely stay again!!!

What a lovely place to eat. We dined here twice during our stay in Manchester and can highly recommend it. I had the Tuna tacos and carpaccio with beef tartare, absolutely zingy fresh and very tasty, well executed and presented. It was so good I had it the next night too. My daughter had the ragu and burger on the two occasions, very good quality beef and brioche, good portion. The Chardonnay was excellent. This restaurant is also great value for money and was probably the best food I had out of all the restaurants we went to. A big shout out to George and Saffron, many thanks for your excellent service and hospitality, see you in August.

Brand new hotel opposite the town hall in Albert Square. Had a lovely meal in the bar and grill but was told the 2 course meal offer wasn’t available when it was actually available and confirmed by reception next day. Recommend the cocktail bar on the 7th floor didn’t eat there this time but will on our next visit. Great service by Favour and Sam and the cocktails were amazing. Had a standard room at the back of the hotel so it was quite noisy early morning with deliveries which the hotel can’t do much about so try and get a room facing the town hall if you can.

We are touring round all of the Malmaisons with this being 12 of 18. We thought it was absolutely beautiful. We had food and drinks in Chez Mal - the service was excellent and the food/drinks delicious. We had drinks at Sora and again, they were lovely and the staff were very friendly and efficient. The reception staff were friendly. Our room was absolutely beautiful; we particularly loved the tile mosaic in the shower. I agree with some other comments that better shelving would be better for toiletry bags as I don’t like to keep mine above the toilet and there isn’t really room at the side of the sink. The toiletries are gorgeous. The room has heating and AC and it was effective. We found the lights confusing and had to commandeer a member of staff off the corridor to make our room brighter (tip - press and hold!) Maybe a little sign to say so? Coat pegs would be appreciated. There is a safe, fridge, hair dryer and tea/coffee making facilities. The bed was comfy. The only thing to note is housekeeping attention to detail. Our room was very clean, however, there was a drink left in the fridge and a brunch bar empty packet under the bedside cabinet. I don’t see it needs a star knocking off for it as everything else was so perfect. Re the lifts - Ozzy told us that the left is only for Sora for going up but that you can go down to wherever in that lift from Sora. We were told that sometimes it can change and be used to go up… this is confusing and again, as per the lighting, maybe a little sign?? We had a lovely stay and would stay again. Can’t wait for our next Mal! Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Bailey and George were great looking after me at check in and at the bar. A very welcoming lounge and hotel. A good hotel, enjoyed my stay. Nice granola too! Room was good, the fire alarm went off otherwise would be 5*. I hope to stay here when I’m next in Manchester.
